As humans, we are designed to communicate. We communicate to survive. We communicate to assert ourselves. We communicate to form relationships. Without communication, ours would be a dull race; one of perpetual internal reflection, and perhaps an overwhelming desire to know what is in another's head.
A result of our ability to communicate is a strong pursuit in a direction that is the polar opposite of isolation. To this effect, almost every person I've met has wanted to share something with me, whether it be some insight, something they'd created or accomplished, or simply something they needed to externalize.
If you think about it, what good is an accomplishment if it doesn't involve others? What good is learning to cure cancer if this cure can't be communicated with and applied to others? What good is speaking ten languages if there aren't any listeners? In the very same way, a collection of photos is not very interesting if kept private. Sharing my photos is a way through which I communicate with the world -- a large part of how I communicate what I'm feeling, thinking, or experiencing at any given moment.
For me, or any photographer, to keep all of their photos hidden away on some obscure hard drive or in a dusty old photo album, is a waste! This guy apparently feels the same way, as he spent an hour or so without taking a single photo, but instead choosing certain people to share his photos with. This individual seemed particularly interested; she commented (both verbally and using gestures, as above) enthusiastically on what he had to show her.
He "let her into" his perspective of the world, and as a result, the two shared something wonderful together. That's the way it's meant to be done!

After the move. My first attempts at signage to get across the idea that despite the big sign overhead, the two staffers at this large service counter have two very different kinds of expertise. I brought over the yellow 11x14 sign from our old desk to put on our side, and made a new 8 1/2 x 11 landscape sign for the center. It was too small, few patrons really noticed it.

I almost walked away from the Bridge this evening after the sky seemed to fade into nothing much, but then a woman stopped me for what seemed like pretty trivial conversation. It was cold and I was in a hurry to walk home and warm up, and as we exchanged goodbye's I turned and saw this sky happening behind me. Maybe that conversation wasn't so trivial after all...
Muppet here also forgot to check the resolution size that her camera was switched to (it's normally on the highest all the time), only much later did she discover it was on the lowest. THAT'S why the picture size is so small and the quality not as crisp as it should be. How annoyed with myself am I? :(
Sweet Moment Shared - A young couple asked me to take their photograph while I was out shooting in downtown Phoenix in the Golden Hour. First of a few treatments of an unusual subject for me. Perhaps one can or can't call this "street photography" when the subjects are aware they are being photographed.
Her name is Dayna Hijra. One day she was walking along the rail line to collect money (toll), which is their traditional way of earning. At that time she met her two childhood friends and she became very happy and shared some good news. The picture was taken at that time.

To show you care for someone is to lend a helping hand
A need to be concerned for every woman, child and man
Share whatever you can to help someone in need
Then you will be happier and a better person indeed
When you share with others you unselfishly give of yourself
Then love is given freely instead of sitting on a shelf
Hands that are always clenched nothing can ever get out
Ones that are open and gives is what love is all about
Sharing is caring when given from the heart with pleasure
The good returns are many and the rewards are without measure
Goods given freely brings a smile to the needy person
