Birding was a bust so I naturally turned to a dead weed. I wanted to hit this with f/2.8, but removing the TC at the beach and with no covers on hand was not going to happen. In the BG are rosa rugosa bushes and other pretty things in early fall plumage.

It may be officially the end of summer, but the roses at Borde Hill don't seem to have got the message. Lots more flowers still to come, I'm happy to see.

I know i have posted a nearly similar pic a few weeks ago. But this one is my favorite, because he´s looking straight into the camera. So forgive me the "double" :)

I love Asters and there are positive oceans of them at Sussex Prairie Garden at the moment. It's one of my favourite places to be at this time of year, even though the howling gales today made photography somewhat challenging. :)

Well, of course it's no surprise that I was attracted to pink. This is another one from my visit to Sussex Prairie Garden yesterday. There's just so much to enjoy there at this time of year. In fact, I'm going back this afternoon. :)

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a fave or comment.

These little beauties are sitting right inside my kitchen sliders. I pulled their planter inside until the tiny buds fall away. Then back outside the blue grass will go...

A fascinating building where I took many images. This one, with a narrow depth of field, captured for me the unreal character of this building the best.

I had a lovely relaxing day at my friend Lillian's yesterday. While my friend Sue photographed birds, I spent my time pottering here and there, admiring the flowers and keeping the cats company. Perfect! Thanks, Lillian. :)

Two of our dogs (Tamino & Dexter) posing into the direction of the sun. That´s why her fur has so a orange color. And they a quite dirty, becaus they love to dig for some mice or mole (no they never get one...).

Wishing you all a great and relaxing weekend.

The german title means "The Duke and the Duchess", that´s how I call them sometimes. Yes, they are both male, but some kind of couple :) I lent me the title from an episode of our most loved tv show on earth: Frasier
