New Hampshire Northcoast Railroad train D8-141 (the 141st loaded train of 2021) is hustling south on the former Boston and Maine Conway Branch headed to Rochester where they will work at Tri City for over an hour before taking their train on to Pan Am's Dover Yard. There the train will be left for the Pan Am crew to get on board later in the evening and forward the whole train south as PAR train DOBO to the NHN's parent Boston Sand and Gravel facility in Charlestown just across the river from North Station.
All three green units on the roster are in charge of the train on this day: NHN 3823 (GP38-2 blt. Sept. 1978 as CR 8242), 1801 (GP18 blt. Feb. 1960 as CRIP 1341), and 3825 (GP38-2 blt. Sept. 1978 as CR 8244). They are curling through some brilliant foliage in the swamp land along the Branch River as they approach the Wakefield Road / Route 153 crossing near MP 95.5.

Light and shadows on buttress roots deep in the lowland forest, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. A ray of light pentrating the forest canopy cast shadows from the surrounding vegetation on the large buttress roots of a Kaway tree. Sepia tone conversion, to emphasize the shapes.

While waiting for the shot of a westbound I had my heart set on here I was served up a couple of eastbounds first. Using my wide angle lense I was able to accentuate wide sweep of the arches and the deep shadows cast beneath. To see the westbound I finally got check out this post: flic.kr/p/2k6eqiL

Shadows of a wooden rail
Stood under the rays that sail
Across the fields from the sun up high
The solar ruler of the sky
That shines down, sending rays which sail
Over the fields, making shadows of a rail

Even the shadow in this picture shows how gorgeous the new Asha hair from eXxEsS is – quite some achievement! Each colour option of the beautiful dress from Blueberry is available in three styles, transparent (this one), opaque, and somewhere in between, but don’t worry ladies – they all preseve your modesty. Both the dress and the hair are available now from their respective mainstores.
This photo is part of my ongoing incognito project.
A project about unrecognizability.
just an update on the pink ribbon walking tour.
With your support we have raised almost 1200 euros for charity.
thank you very much for this good result.

Still no word from the bank about the house. So I wait. And try not to worry. I'm sure a year from now, I'll look back on this and chuckle about how stressed out I was... but right now, not so much.
...i tried the new firestorm today and could get some shadows - yay! but i crashed later on - probably had my settings too high...
i do not understand how i could have shadows today and then not have them. I did crash but still, why should that change the capability? (yes, i set all the preferences)
When i lost them, i looked under the Develop menu > rendering> lighting and shadows and it won't let me add the check there - could that be it?
soo soooooo frustrating - excited and then completely let down....

Happy Halloween!!!
Even from the shadow cryptid that haunts the woods behind my house. 😅
Apparently a drink or two helps you be more creative. Sat down with a glass of whiskey to help me figure out what I should do for a "shadow" photo. It definitely helped :)
