This is a photo of shadows and reflections of the boardwalk in the plexiglass patio barrier of the Boondocks Restaurant located at Fisherman's Wharf in Eastern Passage.

Shadow Formation frame the WW2 "Eire" sign at Dalkey as they run in during their display at Bray.

Part of a beach Showering facility - rather strange really as it is fair way from the sea.

Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, Zion National Park, Utah, USA

The road is off limits to cars, giving the park much needed peace and tranquility during tourist seasons.

I had a profound sense of calmness yet unexplainable heart pounding ecstasy at the same time when standing there in the cool shadows of the deep canyon surrounded by the tall mountains.

Just outside of the Regency Tunis Hotel near sunset, I liked the tree shadow on the wall, though it is NOT from the palm tree.

Captured at a viewing of "Your sunset shadow" (Olafu Eliasson, 2024) at Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. This installation features an empty screen illuminated by eleven spotlights.

Taken at St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland.

Shadow - I am sooo happy for Shadow and MC! When I would go out to the alley in the cold, dark -20C weather to feed them, I would sit in the car warming myself up before going back out to interact with them and I would dream of somehow making their lives better. That was only 5 months ago.

They are now living my dream come true. I could not imagine a better home and a better situation than the life they are living now. Both cats have free run of the entire house now and Shadow is almost totally to the point where he is permitted to be outside unsupervised. MC is a little slower in adapting, but she IS adapting and she seems to be enjoying her new life.

Although it is my dream for them that they are living, I think they are happy with it and I believe that if they could choose between their former life in the alley and the life they have now they would choose this new life as house cats. Yes, I am very happy for these cats!

A midday wander on Cannock Chase and for the first time in a while sunny enough to leave the tripod in the car.

1. Taking pictures a tool (camera), not a photographer.

2. The choice of tool limits the possibilities.

3. Experience allows him (instrument) less and less to limit their capabilities.

4. The ability to see is given only when the observer allows ...

5. The moment of observation is the real find ...

6. Training and mastering it defies. Training leads to poor imitations of the original.

7. Often the result should ripen, like wine. Although time is the understanding of the mind, therefore it is very speculative.

8. The meaning of all this is the process!

9. Let it be!

I was taken by the shadows created by the glass roof of the British museum. I took few shots around the museum with the histogram pushed to the right so they were slightly high key and with a little bit of post processing I nudged up the contrast and brightened the whites to give this very black and white effect.

Lines and shadows in The Valley Gardens, Harrogate

The primary subject is the wrought iron leaves which is a piece of art deco that hangs above a leather couch in our great room. The room has vaulted ceilings and the shadows are created from outside trees that are shining through doors at the bottom and skylight windows at the top. I found the upper shadow to present an image that one could easily visualize many different artistic impressions.. Just for fun my friends!

I had to drive around the block for this after spotting the shadow paired up with the stair angle.

The sun and the position of the buildings "painted" some wonderful shades.

The beauty of Vestmannabjørgini (Vestmanna sea cliffs), Streymoy (Faroe Islands).

Known as the Vestmannabjørgini, these majestic sea cliffs rise up to 600 meters above the turquoise hues of the churning sea below roughly halfway between Vestmanna and Saksun, on the north side of Streymoy, Faroe Islands.

The cliffs are characterized by their numerous clefts and green blankets of luxuriant grass and mosses (sheep graze quite undisturbed on the clifftops).

The boats that sail here give an unparalleled view of the cliffs and the birds as they weave in between the numerous sea stacks and in and out the narrow straits bound by sheer rock walls and dark echoing grottoes.

These soaring cliffs provide safe nesting places during the summer months (May-August) for thousands upon thousands of seabirds, above all puffins, guillemots, razorbills and gulls.
