outside, a man scrolls. inside, trays of baklava rise like pyramids. between them, only glass—thin, silent, deceptive. the shadow of the street falls over the sugar, a quiet reminder that even desire casts shade.

The promise of a colorful sunset faded quickly behind the clouds and everything fell deep into the shadows of night very quickly.

Shadow me in the early morning tropical light. I love walking through the garden early to seek out interesting shadows.

This image was taken last year using a converted infrared camera whilst exploring the Wiltshire countryside.

The conditions were blue skies and passing clouds. Some of the clouds helped to cast shadows across the landscape.

This little one was fluttering around so fast..

No watercolor effect has been used on this photo, but the lighting and reflections give it a watercolor look. Some of the actual objects have a shadowy appearance, which makes it difficult to distinguish real from shadow. It's a real eye tweaker. Look at the large version.

Capturing this pretty cliche shadow/light play with my mobile phone .... what's not cliche is the use of Blue-Tac to create the faux "ring" instead of say my wedding ring ha ha & my focus on the words rather then the shadow shape which just plays a supporting role in the composition

Winter shadows

Winter

I looked around for some objects I thought would relate well with these shadows and in the end looked in my art cupboard - one that rarely gets opened these days. I found a few coloured pencils and similar which I picked up rrandomly to place in the picture..

Thank you everyone so much for sharing your quality photos which is a great way to see and keep in touch with the world from home. Also for your kind comments and favours which are much valued.
