Dark Lake / El Dorado County, California
Near the south shoreline of Dark Lake I noticed a pair of darners floating in the water, seemingly attached as in tandem. I used a slender branch to rake them to shore and in the next 4 images you can see them propped on a boulder, both the dorsal pose with wings stretched out and the side profile. I will be posting these 5 profiles in Western Odonata on Facebook for feedback on the ID of this pair of darners. My gut feeling tells me that they are Paddle-tailed Darners.

French people make their homes and surroundings with creativity and imagination to be a fountain of joy for the visitors. Like this flower on the street.That is one of the things why i love this country so much.

This low light sunrise picture at Ocean City MD shows the typical theme “rocks on the sand” with the addition of a lonely pole with a twisted shadow. In OC, it's always a good time for a good time. With 10 miles of sandy beach, a three-mile famous boardwalk, 200+ restaurants , great places to stay and multiple events the place is a favorite destination for millions of fun seeking people.
My shadow is cast along the creek on a late afternoon this January . I photograph the creek almost daily and today it’s frozen over me !!

wENT tO a cOASTAL aND gET sOME LONG eXPOSURE. uNEXPECTEDLY, I wAS sURPRISED wHAT I sAW tHERE wERE cOUPLES oF fLOATING bAMBOO hOUSE aLONG tHE bORDER nEAR tHE sEA. sUDDENLY, 3 LITTLE kiDS aPPROACHED mE wHILE pREPARING mY cAMERA aND oTHER sTUFF. I aSK tHEM tO tAKE a rIDE wITH mE aND sHOW mE aROUND tHEIR pLACE. bEFORE I LEFT i gAVE tHEM moNEY. I cAN'T iMAGINE hOW hARD LIFE iS.. I dECIDED tO dEDICATE tHIS pHOTO aND nAME iT tO " SHADOW OF HOPE " I wISH aND I hOPE tHERE'S aLWAYS mORE bLESSING aND gOOD fUTURE fOR tHEM..
Shadows masked some area of the focus and brought me a different view. Feel the Spirit of Himalayas.

I just loved the long shadows here, very icy here again today shortly after taking this shot I slipped on some ice fell and bruised my ribs ouch ......
