I forgot I'd taken this one. My first whole day with my Canon, so just experimenting.

Taken at my pet sitting house. Dogs playing/fighting/chasing the cats and not at all interested in what I'm doing. I will get some decent shots of them soon, if only they would stay still.

Manchester Central Library. There's a nice spot at the back of Manchester Library where the light comes through a side road in the evening. If you're lucky you can catch the light on a passing subject to make for a nice composition and mood.

The sun rose, shinning through the valley over the eastern peaks. Here on the western side of the valley, the new light just catches the top of this mountain leaving the rest in deep shadow.

The remains of the last lupin flower. One bee. Shadows are lengthening, autumn is approaching.

An unexpected treat while Charles and I were waiting for the full moon to rise in Sedona. Cathedral Rock makes an awesome shadow across the valley floor during sunset.

For Macro Monday's "Shadow" theme. I taped some grass flowers to the outside of a window and put a piece of paper on the inside. Fortunately we had some lovely bright early morning sunlight to make the shadows. HMM everyone

Monte S.Savino: Ingresso del Giardino Pensile

This crazy guy had just completed a 500 mile run through Alaska, and still had enough energy left to click his heels together in the high country near Eureka. I loved the happy shadow that mimicked his moves.

* Note; The "crazy Guy" happens to be our son Paul, and although he looks very young - he is 44 years old and the father of four children.

Light and shadow play fairly well against green siding and not an outlet to be found!
