Olympus Om Zuiko 18mm F 3.5

I'm pulling this beach scene out of the archives because we saw a 34/98 degree day today.......quite unheard of for early May and no doubt setting a record.

We'll be back down in the 20's by the weekend, but it was great to be off work & out on my deck today!! :)

A Hoboken Extra crew takes an assortment of equipment, consisting of GP40PH-2B 4208, 4202, U34CH 3372, DLW 896, and a multilevel west off 13 Depot to spot up for the "Meet Our Rail Fleet" event the following day. It's not often you see something like this in the only waterfront terminal left on the Hudson River!

La lune du 1er mai 2020 s'invite en plein jour. Une bonne occasion de ne pas trop réfléchir aux réglages :-)

The moon of May 1, 2020 invites itself in broad daylight. A good opportunity not to think too much about settings

Came across these two kayaks on a walk near Huk strand.

...we've been back this summer (Thx dear Brits. Decide earlier to not decide anything next time).

I didn't even get my (proper) camera out of it's backpack.

i really love sunset pic. but it ain't about the sunset. it about lighting by sunset.

actually, i hadn't found the right title for this pic.

I really liked the low angle light that was hitting this bridge just before sunset.

The Supermoon setting over Canyonlands National Park, Utah. To get this shot meant leaving where I was staying at about 3:45 in the morning. Getting to the location in the dark and hiking along a cliff for about 1/4 mile. I checked out this location the day before. And of course, waiting and hoping for no cloud cover.

Thank you my friends for your faves and kind comments..

I've recently tried to incorporate more habitat into my wildlife images to expand upon the standard portraits with a smooth background.

In this case, I was fortunate the eagle flew against an aesthetically pleasing chaparral/rock outcrop, setting the scene nicely.

Have a Beautiful Day Flickr Friends

This is the 4,999th photo I've shared on Flickr, according to the little counter on my page.

I shot this last year on a flight for a business trip. I've posted a few other similar shots in the past, but they're each a little different.

Cirencester Park is the new setting for Nic Fiddian-Green’s striking Still Water, 2019, a 16ft high piece of hand-beaten copper in the shape of a horse’s head. Situated at the brow of the 6-mile Broad Avenue that runs the length of the Park, the sculpture is open to view for all visitors.

Nic Fiddian-Green is Britain’s most accomplished equestrian sculptor recognised around the world for his large representations of the horse as well as more intimate forms. On loan from Sladmore Gallery, London, Still Water, 2019 reflects Cirencester Park’s affinity with, and long-standing love for, horses. Fittingly, the sculpture will be in place ahead of Cirencester Park Horse Trials on 24th, 25th and 26th March, adding a striking feature to the cross-country vistas.

A 'slightly' contrived edit based upon a Roger Dean painting.

Three Dandelion seeds, three macro shots, focus blended and then sky switched in Luminar 4 with an added sun reflection then post processed in Lightroom.

The Sky was from a sunrise shot in Fuerteventura last year so it's sort of all my work.... :-)

Hours and hours and still sensor dust spots, but just in time for slider Sunday.....

Is anyone else going mad yet?

PURE PLAY, inspired by the setting sun. There is hardly any practical functionality in this behaviour of wild geese. The end of the first March day this year.

Took my old E-M1 gen.1 with me, with stills on my mind. The camera has poor video, but the scene was irresistible.

Wild geese make a distinct sound and have a demeanour which is not always the same. I often hear them at night, when they fly in small groups low above my flat 25 m high. Then it's more like navigating, a kind of sound radar. Or encouraging each other. Yesterday evening (5 March) I was late coming back from the river shore, and the geese had been conspicuously calm for an hour... when I was at the middle of that big field, it was almost completely dark already. Camera already packed in my bag. Then something like exploded. The whole flock of around thousand wild geese put up a play for me. They suddenly burst into flight from the field on my right hand side and came right above my head over to the other side of the field where they landed. It was the sound of a thunder, all those huge wings flapping and the geese honking and calling. Like fff tutti of a large symphony orchestra. There were many more birds than could fit in the lens. –Maybe I should take a sound recorder with me the next time... :)))

The setting sun on the west coast of England 9.15pm

The start of a lovely early morning walk in Dunham Park, the path leads past the Clocktower and Stables to the Mill.

She usually will stretch after coming out of her den. Sometimes, (not very often) she rolls and slides across the snow.

Was out with her this morning.

I don't think she has mated again this year.

I see no sign of her being pregnant.

I was really hoping she would have some pups this spring.

She just seems to chase the males away.

It was a balmy 23 degrees.

Nice calm, quiet, mild morning.

She gave me lots of "good stuff"!

But, she is starting to shed. Not to bad, but, doing a lot of scratching.

At this time of year it won't be to long before she starts loosing her winter coat.

I am already finding little clumps of fur around her den.

Do get some interesting shots of her sitting pretty, while scratching an itch.
