One of the many sea going ships sets out to sea from the St John's, NL harbour only a few thousand yards from his current position. This outlet was taken from high above and beside the building at Signal Hill from the previous shot. Early morning for these gents and off to do a job on calm waters.
The iconic Lions Gate Bridge, in Vancouver, BC, was built in depression era 1938 by the Guinness family (of beer fame), who had invested in property on the north side, and who saw a massive increase in the value of their land once people could actually get there.
A sailor I know once told me that, among the greatest feelings of returning home from sea, was the heart swell he got when passing under the Lions Gate Bridge. I felt a similar excitement as I headed out on a recent adventure, when I captured this image.
7/12 Time for a Vacation
A walk on the Farm. Just for appearances I changed the settings to vintage. I must be in a very adventurist mood tonight as I very rarely if ever do post production .

It was a winter wonderland where our snowshoes sunk deep into the light fluffy snow... not an easy task setting down tracks.
Rain drumming on my metal roof woke me up this morning.
Instead of turning over and going back to sleep I remembered that there might be a large moon setting. It was still dark but getting lighter quickly and I rushed around getting my camera ready. Overhead it was still cloudy and a drizzle fell, but the west had started to clear. I love the moon when it turns all yellow low in the sky.
Tonight I will try for the moonrise.
Daytime gives us so much needed light. Nighttime gives us the darkness we need. The transition between them gives us beauty daily of the “Setting Sun.” Where else can you witness that kind of beauty at No Charge? We are privileged to receive it. It doesn’t take an expensive camera to capture and savor such beauty. It lasts but a few minutes of our time. Make a point to enjoy and give thanks. I try to have Gratitude and Kindness be a part of every day.

The Tallest Man on Earth
I'm just a dreamer but I'm hanging on
Though I am nothing big to offer
I watch the birds, how they dive in then gone
It's like nothing in this world's ever still
And I'm just a shadow of your thoughts in me
But sun is setting, shadows growing
A long cast figure will turn into night
It's like nothing in this world ever sleeps
Oh sometimes the blues is just a passing bird
And why can't that always be
Tossing aside from your birches crown
Just enough dark to see
How you're the light over me
And by your side, girl, where the acres grow
Into the strong and stunning meadow
A cowboy stumbling in the finest field
And nothing good out there won't be old
Oh sometimes the blues is just a passing bird
And why can't that always be
Tossing aside from your birches crown
Just enough dark to see
How you're the light over me
Sometimes the blues is just a passing bird
And why can't that always be
Tossing aside from your birches crown
Just enough dark to see
How you're the light over me
