Bergen summer 2008

On July 4th, 2012, Rower Airshows and Wild Horse Aviation will attempt to break World Records – highest airshows ever over land AND water! The event takes place high over the top of the peaks at Breckenridge Ski Area and the Dillon Reservoir – at elevations exceeding 10,000 feet. Prepare to be amazed as the pilots dazzle with aerobatic combinations, loops and amazing speed exhibitions – all at incredible heights. This is a once in a lifetime experience … a chance to be a part of record-setting history.

The sun was just setting behind the hillside and created a nice silhouette with the trees. More spectacular in person (which is true of most of my pics).

So glad to be out and about again after being retricted by the snow and ice for so long. Some of our local pavements are still not clear of ice and are quite dangerous to walk on. When we came back from this little jaunt, Mag & I set about clearing the pavement along the front of our house to provide safe access to the main road. We have also taken down the Christmas decorations and out tree (live) is now back out in the garden for next year. Memo to self - try and get a fresh set of outdoor lights in the sales!

Walmart volunteers work and laugh along side Red Cross volunteers to help create a warm, safe and dry place to be comfortable for the fire evacuees.
