Setting up flags by a re-enactment group who would gather later in the plaza in front of Houston City Hall on Veterans Day.
My going away party (and Monica's bday party) which was themed "Mee-maws, Muu Muus, and Mai Tais" was this Saturday. There was some hot muu muu/caftan action going on there.

Took a no. of pictures. Only one - main subject - isn't as blurred as the others.
Thought I didn't move, in the end I did in that 3 seconds.
Seeing the subject at this time of the night, on a Friday, setting, with the pine tree still right there - brought back memories.
This time there is a branch from a tree that lives in my backyard too. Reminded me that I haven't had the branches prune to keep her safe from the strong invisible forces.
Then the Subject communicated with me.
Subject: "Wasn't me".
I did not respond.
Subject: And I wasn't Mr. Cannot Be Vam pire who said that.
I nodded.
Subject: Remember? The movie you just watched on TV - I think I am more than "up in the air", also showed a scene that should remind you of something in the past - that occurred around sometime - early in the year but not this year, about those days when you would also take pictures of me from where you did just now.
I looked at the Subject.
Subject: And it won't be me who can give you the answers. You think you still have time?

Subject: I will return tomorrow at a different timing - guarantee but I can't guarantee you that you will see me, due to conditions may not be right, or if you finish your time. Your watch can be repaired. You can afford to pay the bill to get your watch repaired, and watch your time after that, does not mean you can buy time when you run out of your allocated time.
Someone sent Turkey Street. Check your guger map. It's not Turkey Street where I am disappearing to.
I checked the map: Perhaps it is O m a p e r e Street.
Subject: What does O m a p e r e mean?
I looked up the word and found: It's Place of cutty grass. Cutty grass.. like t o e t o e.
Subject: And you never find out what a neighboring street means till today?
Ya. Never, till today. I am glad to have checked and found that today. I think probably I should have tomorrow. Since it's just less than 2hrs till tomorrow and I am safely at home.
Subject: So! You think you will have tomorrow! Make sure you finish weeding, give the plants a good watering, give the two front trees a trim. And if you still have more time, get more plants and plant to give them more chance to breathe in the bad and give out the good while the temperature is still possible to do so. Don't go to check if your ex-neighbor is around to give you the answers - you don't know where to find him. When he is ready to be the brave one and let you know, he will visit you and let you know.
Isn't that passive?
Subject: Or you can be the brave one who will ask that dumb question on B street next time you see him. Time for me to set. Time for you to zzzzz.

We are hosting our 7th annual Galiano Literary Festival in February 2016. The Festival and number of attendees is growing with each year and we look forward to an even more successful event this year with a fabulous line-up of wonderful authors coming to our lovely island! We decided to host the event in February for a few reasons, not the least of which being that we wanted to attract visitors to the island in an otherwise quiet time – to help provide businesses with a little off-season boost and to help establish Galiano Island as a “year round” rather than “seasonal” destination. The weather has always cooperated and visitors and authors have raved about the island and many have come back to visit.

Setting up for the ESPN GameDay Broadcast on Saturday October 17, 2015 at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. They are on campus for the huge game at Michigan Stadium when the Michigan Wolverines host the Michigan State Spartans. Both teams are highly ranked this year and it should be a great game. With the construction on the Ingals Mall, they are setting up on the northern part of the Diag, between Chemistry and Kraus buildings. These were shot on Thursday October 15, 2015.

We took a fascinating little workshop in setting type today. That case behind Amy is a typical type-setter tray set-up, where small letters were in the bottom case, and the capital letters were above. This standard set-up led to the different cases being called "upper case" and "lower case." Boom.
