DSC_3326. Partially eclipsed Moon setting at 5:51 am. I could not get to a clearer spot to catch it setting so I had to stop where I was and make the best of it or I would have missed it setting altogether.

Setting the Jib - And heading out in the Delaware Bay just before the full moon rises. I took this photograph last evening from Lewes Beach as the sun was setting over the Roosevelt Inlet. I like the person sitting on the beach enjoying the sailboat as it prepares to head out on the bay. It was a beautiful evening on the beach with friends.
There are days where you miss the who left out of your life. To accompany the photograph one of the most melancholy and beautiful songs ever written.
The beach is on the left bank of the historic village of Ribadesella.
Thousand five hundred meters in the form of shell sand tan in an urban setting of enviable beauty.
During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, much of the Asturian emigrants to America (Indians), who returned with considerable wealth, built homes with tropical air, decorating their gardens with palm trees, avocados, tamarind and a variety of plants they remembered the land that had been so favorable.

Japan Air Self-Defence Force Boeing 777-300ER 80-1111 basks in the last rays of the autumn sun at Prestwick Airport having delivered the Japanese delegation to the COP26 meeting in Glasgow.
I captured this shot of the sun setting over Lake Superior in the backyard of the place across the road from our cottage near Little Girl's Point in the far western end of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I've taken other photos from this spot before, but I just can't resist that dead tree on the left.

Just before sunrise, the Harvest Moon dipped into the treeline and then out of sight.
The Harvest Moon is the full moon closest to the Autumnal Equinox, when the interval between moonrises is the shortest of the year. This results in more light at the end of day, just after sunset, allowing a longer time for farmers to bring in the harvest.
Taken on our recent RV trip to Jackson. The trees were so far away that I was able to keep both them and the moon in focus.

A phototrip with my brother to get a sunset shot.
Bad weather almost ruined the whole trip as it was rainy the whole evening. We had to drive a bit further to get the clouds behind us and get a shot at sunset. Tough we almost lost all the light as it got too dark while running away from the rainclouds. Too bad we couldn't get both the sunset and the rainclouds in same picture.
