Setting Milky Way from Lastovo island, Croatia ;)
Canon 60Dmod+Sigma 18-35mm, f1.8@f2.8, ISO 3200, 20x50sec, Star adventurer
I captured this shot of the sun setting over Lake Superior in the backyard of the place across the road from our cottage near Little Girl's Point in the far western end of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I've taken other photos from this spot before, but I just can't resist that dead tree on the left.
A cool way to view mine or anyone else's photostream is on fluidr.
One from the archives taken at Derewentwater one Autumn morning. Another photographer setting up to photograph down the lake towards the Jaws of Borrowodale.
A phototrip with my brother to get a sunset shot.
Bad weather almost ruined the whole trip as it was rainy the whole evening. We had to drive a bit further to get the clouds behind us and get a shot at sunset. Tough we almost lost all the light as it got too dark while running away from the rainclouds. Too bad we couldn't get both the sunset and the rainclouds in same picture.
The February full moon is setting over the palm trees and mountains in Palm Desert. The morning light is giving a colorful glow to the mountain in the background.
Views of the sunset over Essex taken through an old abandoned boat on the coastline of Whitstable. Whitstable is a seaside town in the Canterbury district, on the north coast of Kent.

Flickr Friday-Tension
My hand is setting the Tension on my Precor recumbent bike. I have it up to 25. That's the highest it can go and it is really tough to peddle when it's like that!!!
This was our first Backpacking night in the woods. We waked about 7 miles before we set up camp. Took a break in the middle and had lunch.
While setting up to capture the blue hour sunrise I noticed the Milky Way was still visible and captured this image. 125/365

'The early days of the model Sam Davenport
Photo shoot at Tioga Gardens, Owego, New York
Sam was 14 at the time
Today quite a number of the captive bred Emperor moths from eggs laid in moth trap last year @ NOA have emerged. these are all taken on their release into the wild this morning. All taken with the new camera on macroAF setting. the male is showing it's underwing colour to compare with the grey underwing of female. Female's antennae are also smaller than the males who has to use his antennae to search out the pheromones given off by the female. In this form their sole purpose is to mate & lay eggs, they have no mouth parts to feed with. This shot was taken on the fz82 from distance of 1.5mtrs using 1200mm zoom & macroAF setting
