It isn't just locks that bar the way but swing bridges too. It always pays to have an assistant do the job for you

One from a few weeks back! Just had to pull over and take a shot!

Not sure if the pylons add to it or annoy me really, but couldn't do much about them!

From Brooklyn to lower Manhattan.... as sen from the DUMBO section of Brooklyn.......

This was taken during setting up for my last post. I quite like the form and is one of the easiest to get. As you can see the lighting is a bit dark (although the colour gradient is better...it was draped over the flash) and the reflection has a few small splashes in it (which is something i don't like to see). This is quite a large collision....i reckon the umbrella was getting near 50mm in diameter.

Mackay Sugar operates an extensive and highly specialised cane rail network, spanning 832 km across the Mackay region - from Wagoora in the north to Munbura in the south and west through the Pioneer Valley to Finch Hatton. With a fleet of 34 cane rail locomotives and approximately 6,600 cane bins, Mackay Sugar collects and transports an average of six million tonnes of sugar cane every year from around 280 cane rail sidings.

A clump of trees, by day a great playground for children, come evening a haven for enjoying the sun setting over the bay. The photo wasn't staged - just another camper shared my enthusiasm for these trees.

UP power leads this CP 474 train southbound through the Mississippi River at Davenport on 4-13-19. Barges couldn't navigate the flood waters at this time, but trains could! Crews had successfully raised the track level here during the flooding in order to allow passage.

Setting the Jib - And heading out in the Delaware Bay just before the full moon rises. I took this photograph last evening from Lewes Beach as the sun was setting over the Roosevelt Inlet. I like the person sitting on the beach enjoying the sailboat as it prepares to head out on the bay. It was a beautiful evening on the beach with friends.
