Überaschender Nachwuchs bei den Servalen.
Am 10. Juli brachte Zoe zwei junge Kater zur Welt, Vater ist Paul.
Seit Anfang der Woche tollt der Nachwuchs durch das Gehege.
Female serval (Leptailurus serval) named "Mkali" born 5/13/15 to mother "Onshe" at the San Diego Zoo. Her brother "Cheka" is currently an animal ambassador in the SD Childrens Zoo.
Servals have the longest legs and largest ears for their body size of any cat. They are found primarily in the Sahara Desert, near waterways in the savanna and forests. Although not considered endangered, in the wild, servals can be harmed by habitat loss, global climate change, and hunting for their fur. Conservation Status: Least Concern

Another edit of a shot taken back in 2016. One of a series of big cat images I've been working on recently. Removing the background and enclosure bars on this one was tricky and I'm not that happy with the result, but thought I'd share and see what y'alls think.
We stayed with this unconcerned serval for about 1.5 hours, on this particular morning! Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania.
De Serval leeft in de uitgestrekte vochtige grasvlakten, rietvelden en open bossen van Afrika. In de schemeruren jaagt hij op kleine zoogdieren, vogels en grote insecten. Overdag rust hij in verlaten holen of op andere beschutte plaatsen.
The Serval is a French armoured vehicle designed to replace the VAB for light and support units.
It has been progressively equipping French troops since 2022.
This model can roll, has functional steering, space inside for 6 minifigs, a removable roof, functional front and rear doors and multiple roof hatches. The remote-controlled machine gun can also be rotated.
For the first time, the vehicle has the new colours of French armoured vehicles: ‘terre de France brown’.

Le Serval est un véhicule blindé français conçu en tant que remplaçant du VAB pour les unités légères et de soutien.
Il équipe progressivement les troupes françaises depuis 2022.
Ce modèle peut rouler, a une direction fonctionnelle, de la place à l'intérieur pour 6 minifigs , le toit est amovible, les portes avant et arrière sont fonctionnelles tout comme les multiples trappes de toit. La mitrailleuse télé-opérée peut également tourner.
Pour la première fois le véhicule possède les nouvelles couleurs des blindés français : le "brun terre de France"

Den Aachener Tierpark umfast ein 8,9 Hektar in einem Park Gelände mit viel Grün und einen kleinen See.
Zoo mit schönen Anlagen für die Tiere und den Besucher Gepard . Serval , Eulen . Erdmänschen und viele Andere Tierarten sind dort zu sehen. Viele Wildvogelarten haben den Park zu ihrer Heimat gemacht.
