Sequin Island has many stories to tell. When the early settlers (pilgrim's) were exploring North America some settled near by at Damaris Cove near Boothbay Harbor, some near Popham Beach. The settlers found the area had very harsh winters, rough waters and some problems with the local Indian Tribes.
There are some documentations that Damaris Cove was where the first Pilgrims came. But left for other places more inhabitable. Then moved on to Plymouth, MA.
History buffs, check it out!!
