Sequined Veil

This is the costume I made for the Enchanted Doll birthday contest in 2010. It's based on one of the dolls that the artist made and constructed to fit her. The original doll costume can be seen here: www.enchanteddoll.com/galleries/concubine/concubine.html

 

 

The veil was made of a silk georgette. It was surprisingly easy to work with, much nicer than any similar synthetic I've touched. I hand hemmed it and sewed the sequins along the edge. I would have liked to add more sequins to the center, but I just didn't have the time.
