Aren't these wreath ornaments great? I got them for a dollar at Target and then dressed them up with sewing pins and sequins that I had leftover from another project.
When shopping for bridal & bridesmaids dresses with Mindy and Kathy, there were a lot of sequined prom dresses. So many sequins.
You can also kind of see the yellow super mini dress in this picture. I don't know what girl is wearing that dress, but she better not try to sit down, walk, dance, or even move unless she wants the whole room to see her stuff.

This is one of my favorite rings, as well as one of my first experiments with wire weaving. The little pink flowers are, you guessed it, sequins!

This Christmas bauble was hand beaded with sequins and pins by me. I have a Christmas tradition. I bead one Christmas bauble for a select group of friends every year.
I have a friend who, like me, has no need for anything at Christmas, and yet I want to give him something worthy of his friendship. It then struck me that I could bead some Christmas baubles in varying shades and colour combinations, as he is as fond of Christmas as I am.
Each bauble is 15 centimetres in diameter and contain hundreds of sequins, varying in number depending upon the complexity of the pattern and the type of sequins I use. Most sequins in this bauble are 5mm in diameter, except the central star which is 8mm. Depending upon the colour of the sequin, I will use either a gold or a silver pin to attach it to the bauble. The silver sequins are held in place with silver pins. The gold and buttercup yellow sequins are pinned with gold. I always leave the stars until last, allowing a gap in the sequin chain to pin them in. Star sequins are notorious for getting caught on clothes, which then bend the points.
These baubles are smaller than some others I do, and because it is a simple pattern which starts from the inside and is worked outwards in ever larger circles, each bauble takes approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours per side.
It is however, a labour of love which I do to pass the time throughout the year.
