What a lovely day. I was granted a lovely long lie-in while J taught C about cricket (and about losing at cricket), then we met friends for lunch. Back home for proper Alpha Mummy craft session, making peg dolls from a kit given to C for her birthday. Glam fairy peg dolls with sequins, naturally.
I really love my curve hugging minidresses! The let me show off my curves and my legs!

A few years ago, I started making new felt ornaments every holiday season. And last year, I discovered sequins. Now I'm obsessed, so I added a tutorial for using sequins to the &Stitches blog so everyone else can get obsessed, too.
I love the attention to detail of the facial/hair accessories in this cosplay outfit!

(I was just thinking today what a luxury it was, photography-wise, to be able to shoot in public in Japan. So many subjects will happily pose for you or ignore you while you take as many shots of them as you want. They never question you about what you want to use the images for, either. And then, quite the opposite of Japan, there was today's experience in Martin Place in Sydney's CBD. I wanted to do some street photography with fill flash to ensure I got better exposures of the front of my subjects when they were lit from the side or behind. But everyone I shot got really angry that I photographed them, including one who came back and demanded that I delete the photo I had just taken of him. It was almost fate that my lens electronics were playing up, forcing me to stop...I don't know that I could have handled any more anger or abuse during one photoshoot!)

View On Black the rose is from my garden, probably the last til next spring, i had just watered... so all the water drops! i enhanced the color just a bit and then added the starburst's....thats it!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: This is definitely one of my favorite outfits I own for my Girl of Today dollies. It's so simple, yet so chic! I'm so grateful that I got it on Cyber Monday 2016 for only $12. This outfit was an even better deal that the Pale Pink & Tweed ensemble, because it even came with a hair accessory. This headband is such a cute little detail--I like that it has a red bow on it. The American Girl headbands always look way too small when they are not being worn by a doll, but rest be assured, they do stretch over the doll's head just fine. The shirt is a very thin material, which is almost a bit sheer. But the detailed embroidery work really makes it look exquisite. I also love how it has bright red stitching detail, to tie the whole outfit together. The skirt is the best quality item from this set. It's bedazzled in sequins...which seem to be securely sewn on (although with rough play, there is a chance some might come off). I love how each of these pieces is simple, yet stunning at the same time. They would match a variety of other clothing items, but would also enhance just about any ensemble. The little red shoes remind me a bit Dorothy's from the Wizard of Oz...of course instead of the shoes being sparkly, the skirt from this set is!
