The sequel to Tree in the mist. Taken at an entirely different location to the tree in the mist shot.

When I recently looked at Dieter's photo " the wild bunch", his description reminded me, I had also experienced a similar situation. My associations were also similar, and since the film plays an important role in my life, the association was clear - Easy Rider.
I found my old picture, which for me is like a sequel of "The wild bunch", where the 3 protagonists continue their endless adventures elsewhere..
Male and female : sequel
The fertilization was almost successful, but a second male unfortunately joined, discouraged the female and ate the spermatophore.
Image 7 : The first time that I could see clearly how the thread taken by the male out of the spermatophore was free from the spermatophore itself, the female can than follow the male while eating from the thread and she normaly goes than over the spermatophore.
Can you follow the story ? :-) "See notes on the photos"

Un film de Gill Bates.
So many producers wish to have a sequel to a successful franchise. Plenty of producers bring out sequels to bad franchises. Bad franchises with plot holes, logic gaps, temporal inconsistencies, bad actors, etc. It helps if the pliant media do their best to sell it though.

Yes a Mesopsocus sp. sequel, these were another of my fave subjects of 2015. The title refers to their habit of running about like mad things and their rather curious looks. This is a Mesopsocus sp. these are a species of Barkfly and are quite large as Barkfly go at 3-4mm. They are also one of my favourites :o)
This was a 9 image focus stack using an aperture of F/6.3, ISO 320 and a 1/160 aperture. I used a diffused flash and the background is the sky. The Barkfly were on a wooden observation structure at Wollaton Park.
Hope everyone has a great weekend :o)

A sequel to yesterday's upload (Fifty shades of green), I found this caterpillar hanging out on the underside of the lid of the compost bin. I think, like yesterday's caterpillar upload, this is an angle shades moth caterpillar, although it was only a third of the size of the green caterpillar. Happy to be corrected if I have the IDs wrong.

Noi vivremo, zio Vanja.
Io credo, zio, credo ardentemente, appassionatamente...
Riposeremo... (Lo abbraccia). Riposeremo!
Riposeremo!
Cala lentamente il sipario.
Anton Pavlovic Cechov, Zio Vanja, monologo finale.
A sequel to yesterday's post... this time you can see the actual 15m blowhole in the background. I know its getting pretty boring with this kind of sculptural shot. Honestly I'm bored too haha! That explains for a no sense title today too :P But I just want to get it over & done with. I promise better shots soon.. really.. hmm maybe is the better word :))

I was out on a photoshoot, walking along with my brother Joe when I noticed a good frame & some nice light whilst he was totally immersed composing a frame. I immediately stepped back and grabbed the shot.

This photo is the natural sequel to my previous one "Gate to Eden". If you enlarge it and look carefully to the left, down in the sea, in the shade of the cliff you can see a small white house: it's the same house depicted here.
But what it is? Or better what it was, because it's a very old building... that was my thought the first time I found it some years ago. It is really a strange building, both for it's shape and position, something which I had never seen elsewhere in Sardinia.
After a search I found out that it was the chapel of the nearby tuna fish factory (read the note to my previous photo). But why they built it there in a almost inaccessible place? (with rough sea it's impossible to reach it).
When the fishermen left the shore in their boats to go and capture the tuna fishes already trapped in a cage of net equipped with their long harpoons, they stopped on the their way in front of this chapel where a priest celebrated a mass. This was considered as a propritiatory rite...
When the tuna fish factory was dismissed in the sixties the chapel was abandoned. A local fisherman occupied it illegally and used it as a boathouse.
Just a little bit naughty... just enough to make you wonder what comes next. 😈

Sequel to my previous upload:
This is the conference building where agreements and negotiations between the two Koreas are held.
I've uploaded two photos to show you what it looked like here yesterday. It didn't last long ... today, this snowfall has all melted. But, don't get me wrong, there's still lots of snow from last winter around in backyards ... and some front yards. Plenty in the woods still, too.
But, this is the way it used to be not too long ago. I'd go fly fishing on May 24th ... which is when the season used to open back then ... and you have to walk over snow in some cases to get to the river. We've been spoiled here for the past few years with the mild winters we've been having. This one has been what I call an 'old fashioned winter'.
