on the way back across to jerusalem, we drove by a big section of the separation barrier. while the barrier from the "israel" side is just white concrete, on the palestinian side, it's covered in graffiti.
we drove past this long section which just showed different people's faces, all with different facial expressions, surprise, joy, anger, etc. as i fumbled with my camera most of it went past. you can barely see the very end of it here.
Interocular Separation of the two captured images for the left and right eye ( Visit interocular.yolasite.com for samples and guides ) generally needs to be between 60mm and 75mm / 2 - 3 inches to achieve a converging angle of separation that still combines clearly to create a sharp Color 3D Anaglyph. An Interocular separation of much less distance is required for Macro Shots, where 1mm can be more than enough separation between left and right views.
I've followed a promising young french Thai boxer during two months, training with him during a couple of weeks, every morning, every evening, four to five hours a day, six days a week, shooting with shaking hands, painful legs and wet fix lenses. I followed him during two fights - tough times - several of my very precious moments during my one-year way back photo-trip from Seoul to Paris without plane.

Time is flying by once again. Can you feel it?
Bear with me over these few days because tomorrow I have to be on a plane and the thought of it fills me with dread. New place, new weather, new people, new air, new everything. And I have never been good with change. Because when I think of home I don't think of the big things. I think of the comfort of flopping down on the couch to watch TV. I think of all the shows I purposely set my times by so I can watch them. I think of the view outside my window, the blue sky, or the rain pelting the glass. I think of lying down on my bed with my eyes firmly shut dreaming about different things. I think of the sound of my family's voices, the soft fur of my dog's paw in my hand, the whooshing sound of the air conditioner, the dangerous feeling of free falling from rushing down flights of steps. I think of how I have all the different light rays in the house memorized, the feeling of touching a solitary piano key, and hearing its familiar melody.
And when I think of home I don't picture anything else at all, anything, anything other than this.

"To answer our most fundamental questions, science needs to find a place for the arts and vice versa. Everything is connected to everything else. It is human interpretation and the need to catalogue and separate that divides topics into boxes. The need to know, create, explore and understand provides inspiration to the development of the human spirit.
Science and art share this inspirational foundation, even though through time they've been separated. In his Cosmopolitan Chicken Project Koen Vanmechelen undoes this separation time and again. The work In-Vetro shows the intersection of art and science. The real and the fictitious are joined in a cage that is divided in half. On one side a cockerel, one generation of Vanmechelen's neverending cross-breeding project, cuts the silence by crowing and defending his territory. On the other side the cold truth is lingering in the form of a frozen ark, a container filled with liquid nitrogen that keeps the chicken's DNA intact at a degree of minus 196 degrees. In vitro. The container is full of promise, the embodiment of the future, a genetic back-up for the ignorant cockerel, whispering to it from behind the glass. Life in two of its manifestations, kept in a cage equipped with an alarm. Life can be dangerous and always finds a way.
Behind this scene a laboratory environment throws its shadow over the whole scene. A simple table is bolstering a luring microscope. Every eye can contemplate the dance of the cockerel's sperm on the specimen clamp and see the future. The website and the computer's flatscreen teleport the viewer into the philosophical and multifaceted universe of the Cosmopolitan Chicken Project. On the wall the genealogy of the Cosmopolitan Chicken Project tries to capture the history of the life presented. All the components of this installation can be seen from the street, the view seemingly unobscured by glass (vetro in Italian). For passers-by it is a momentary snapshot, a wonderful Alicean moment through the looking glass. In the basement the Ted-conference video of the artist gives witness of the power creativity and language. Words create worlds".

In the Ramayana story, a hunter saw two birds happily spending their time in each other’s company, perched on a tree. The hunter sot an arrow and killed the male bird. Unable to bear the separation from her beloved, the female bird also died soon thereafter. Sage Valmiki who witnessed this pathetic scene uttered a shloka, even without knowing it. It came spontaneously from his mouth. That soka (grief) became the inspiration for the great epic Ramayana. Thus, the bird and animals also love each other. How then can a human being lose such noble quality of love? Today there are many things that a human being can learn from birds, animals and even beasts. But, human being is least bothered to learn these lessons.

Valmiki, before he became a great sage was known as Ratnakar. He was a hunter and used to rob the wayfarers of their belongings. One day he came across the Sapta Rishis, who took pity on him and wanted to light the lamp of wisdom in him. They urged him to give up his wicked actions. Ratnakar said he could not do so, as it was the only way to feed his wife and children. The Sapta Rishis asked Ratnakar to find out whether they were prepared to share the sin he committed for their sake. Ratnakar went home and asked his wife and children, ‘Are you prepared to share my sin just as you share my booty every day?’ They replied in the negative. His wife said that she was not responsible for the merit or sin he committed. This incident opened his eyes. He went back to Sapta Rishis, fell at their feet and prayed for guidance. They told him to contemplate on Lord Rama and chant His Name incessantly. Ratnakar did accordingly, and consequently, his face shone with the divine effulgence of Lord Rama. Your thoughts play a vital role in shaping your personality.

Ratnakara, a robber, on being advised by Narada started chanting the name of Rama incessantly, as a result of which the radiance of Rama was seen on his countenance and he became sage Valmiki. Rama is Lokadata (the giver of the world) and Valmiki became Shlokadata (composer of the holy hymns). There is no difference between the giver and the composer. The Vedas declare: Brahmavid brahmaiva bhavati (the knower of Brahman becomes Brahman himself). So, you should always think good, do good, talk good and hear good. Only then you can become good. A true human being is one who is good. A wicked person can never be called a human being. (SS. May ‘99 -P116)
Sage Valmiki after having composed the epic Ramayana, convened a congregation of saints and wanted to know if there was anyone who would propagate the story of Rama to the people. The saints and sages expressed their inability to do so as they lacked the physical strength on account of their advanced age. Then Lava and Kusha who were sitting at a distance and watching the proceedings came forward and expressed their willingness to undertake the task spreading Rama’s story far and wide. They took Tambura in one hand, wore garlands of Rudraksha around their necks, smeared Vibhuti on their foreheads and went to each and every street singing the glory of Lord Rama. They sang, ‘Oh people, listen to the sacred story of Lord Rama. Let your life be His Story.’ (SSS Vol 32 Part 2 p.70)

What is a Nazarite? This was someone in Israel who took a vow at birth to be separated from the world. Samson, who lived in the period of the Judges, was called to be a Nazarite.
Samson’s tragedy wasn’t his fornication with Delilah, though that sin was grievous enough to disqualify him from God’s service. No, Samson’s tragedy was that he no longer valued the work of the Spirit in his life. The presence of the Lord was no longer the most important thing to him. This once-mighty man of God now took the Lord’s power and blessing in his life completely for granted.

Satan’s plan was to rob Samson of that very power and strength through Delilah. Samson had started out strong, living a life separated unto God as he judged Israel. Then, for a period of twenty years, we read nothing of the Spirit moving upon Samson. There were no more exploits, no more mighty victories over Israel’s enemy. Why? He grew weary of the separated life, thinking, “I’ve been too intense, living too strictly. What’s wrong with some relaxation? Why can’t I taste a few pleasures of the world?” So he went down to the Valley of Sorek, which was Philistine territory, where he found the prostitute Delilah and spent the night with her.
Delilah, Her name means to “slack off, ease up, lose intensity.”
The next morning, Samson realized that despite his wanton actions he hadn’t lost his strength nor had the Spirit left him. Evidently, he thought, “I can have forbidden pleasures after all and still keep my anointing.” He began to love the easy life.
Of course, Samson woke up one morning in Delilah’s lap as the Philistines was closing in on him, They found him weak as a kitten. He hadn’t realized that the Spirit of the Lord had departed from him.
Think of the state of the church today, with all its worldly influences, its worldly entertainment, its brightness and frivolity, its focus on success and money. And think of the absence of divine grief over sin, the lack of self-denial and devotion to Christ. It is obvious that the Church today has lost its authority, emptied of its spiritual power a long time ago.
Thousands of Christians today sit in dead churches never realizing God’s Spirit has departed,The spirit of Delilah has succeeded in putting many in the church to sleep in her lap.
Revelation 12 chapter , There's a war going on, The bible says the devil declared war. The bible makes it very clear , He is going to send out a flood , That they may be carried away the scriptures say. He's going to send this flood of filth,lust and temptation .He's gonna come against the physical body against the mind , He's going to come against everything to carry them away the bible says that they may be carried away with the flood.
God told the prophet Haggai he promised to fill his last-days church with his glory. “Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; and I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts” (Haggai 2:6-7).
Simply put, Christ is the desire of all nations, and he is coming again. But first there will be a great shaking. Everything that can be shaken, Jesus says, will be shaken. This means there will be a great separation, and whatever cannot be shaken will remain.
I believe this spiritual shaking and separation is going to be in a way like it was for Samson. Not realizing that the Spirit of the Lord has departed.
So, what will that remaining part be?
It will be a people running back to the arms of Christ—a church intensely on fire, on its knees, contrite, wide awake and looking for his coming. It will be a church that has turned away from all flirtation with sin, and is separated unto the Lord, with clean hands and a pure heart. In such a church, the Holy Spirit is free to move and work in mighty ways. Nothing hinders his anointing and flow, and the glory of God becomes clear for all to see.

Shots from 2015 of the Main Road level crossing at St Albans station that was replaced with a rail-under-road grade separation the following year along with a nearby location at Furlong Road - a project which involved the rebuilding of new low level stations at both St Albans and Ginnifer.
St Albans for most of its history was the limit of suburban electrification which was completed in 1921 when Melbourne's urban footprint did not extend far beyond West Footscray and most trains terminated at Sunshine. Post war urban expansion gradually extended toward St Albans eventually warranting the extension of services and relocation of the station to the Melbourne side of the level crossing in 1959 with a dock platform for terminating trains meaning only country trains passed through the level crossing.
In more recent years the lopsided east urban sprawl of Melbourne has begun to spread west with development towards Sydneham resulted in extension of suburban services there in January 2002 and beyond to Sunbury in November 2012.
The extensions meant many more trains passing through the level crossing and traffic held up for extended periods through St Albans with the boom gates down. Political pressure to grade separate this location mounted and the project was announced as a package for Main Road, Furlong Road and a third location at Heatherdale near Ringwood in Melbourne's east.

I was more than honored when Jacob Covey invited me to take part in the upcoming Beasts! Book 2 print show and book release party in Seattle, WA. Since Jacob requested all entrants must submit only handmade art (nothing digital), I opted for a linocut variation of my original troll (same beast, different doodle). There were only two things standing in my way: I had barely any experience with woodcut/linocut printmaking and my supplies from Dick Blick didn't arrive until a few hours before the deadline.
Well, at least I had my separations all lined up in a row and ready to go...

Posters in a dry cleaner shop adjacent to Murrumbeena station opposing the so-called 'skyrail' treatment for the bulk grade separation of level crossings currently under construction by the Andrews Labor Government on the Dandenong line and soon to be Frankston line southeast of Melbourne. This involves building the same two lines on an elevated viaduct in places where there are multiple level crossings overlooking adjoining properties with elevated stations to match.
In recent years several such grade separations have involved dropping the lines below the existing road level and rebuilding the station in the cutting often requiring pumped drainage and an increased cost of construction. It is worth noting that the crossings on the Frankston Line past Mordialloc are low lying being only a few metres above sea level making this treatment more likely.
In addition another poster opposing the Labor Government over the pay deal for (paid) firefighters in the Country Fire Authority (CFA) which is mostly a volunteer organisation. The paid are largely member of the United Firefighters Union (UFU) and the dispute with the volunteers centres around control within the organisation with concerns volunteer firefighters will take a back seat to UFU member crews.
