I was more than honored when Jacob Covey invited me to take part in the upcoming Beasts! Book 2 print show and book release party in Seattle, WA. Since Jacob requested all entrants must submit only handmade art (nothing digital), I opted for a linocut variation of my original troll (same beast, different doodle). There were only two things standing in my way: I had barely any experience with woodcut/linocut printmaking and my supplies from Dick Blick didn't arrive until a few hours before the deadline.
Well, at least I had my separations all lined up in a row and ready to go...

Can't believe my wife one, allowed me to shoot her, and two, allowed me to post it. Anyway, I'm a bit behind the times, but I just learned how to do frequency separation retouching. What a neat concept. I had to give it a try. This is the result of my first attempt. Lighting info: one 430ex in a 120cm softbox behind her and one 430 ex in a 120cm softbox camera left. Both were triggered with the Phottix Odin triggers

Story behind photo:-
The photo is clicked during Ganpati festival procession in Pune, India.
The Mother wants his child 👶 to watch & enjoy the procession, so she put him on the moving stage of Ganpati procession...
but the child is denying...he want his Mother to be with him as always. (The hand is of Mother saying Bye my child, no worries, I am still with you)
While Annika Thelin gathered economists to in depth discuss progress reporting, project leader Torun Ekstrand and information officer gathered a small group in a separate room to discuss activity reporting.
Colour separation experiments.
Three images taken with red, green and blue filters and also combined (bottom right) on the computer. All shot under the same lighting conditions as the control (the previous image in the stream). For this quick test they were all shot on auto exposure. That's something I need to experiment with a bit, but the results are not bad.
