***Posting this for memory. Divine Mercy Sunday, Requiem for Ma Edith. Her devotion evident in the date and time of all things surrounding her death. And so even as we grieve her passing, we are assured that she will have all the indulgences merited to every soul who spread the honor of the Divine Mercy. Today is her (pasiyam) ninth day.
This was a Winnie & Walter and Simon Says Stamp collaboration project. The SSSFlickrChallenge is all about love, and what says love like a good hug? W&W is having a month-long Birthday bash, and one of their challenges was to use inlaid diecutting technique. I used their hugs die, but then needed something to complete the sentiment. I pulled out the fabulous "Sending and Wishing" stamp set by SSS to finish it off. I also used an assortment the best grays in the world - SSS Slate, Fog and Smoke cardstock.

While looking through the latest HA catalog, I saw this little cutie
has been brought back. He was originally part of a set of four wood mounted stamps in 2007.

Der knapp 230 m hohe Fernmeldeturm befindet sich im Stadtteil Gremmendorf. Von hier senden Antenne Münster auf 95.4 Mhz mit 160 Watt und DLF auf 104.5 Mhz mit 320 Watt aus 215 Metern Höhe sowie DeutschlandRadio Kultur auf 97.5 Mhz mit 100 Watt aus einer Höhe von 140 m. Zudem werden von diesem Turm die 3 DVB-T Multiplexe der öffentlich-rechtlichen Sender ARD (Kanal 21), WDR (Kanal 45) und ZDF (Kanal 59) mit jeweils 5 kW Sendeleistung ausgestrahlt.
Bis zur Umstellung auf DVB-T wurden die analogen Fernsehprogramme VOX (Kanal 34) mit 200 Watt, RTL (Kanal 38) mit 64 Watt sowie Sat.1 (Kanal 51) mit 1000 Watt ausgestrahlt.

En la playa del Sol se llevó a cabo el lanzamiento de la campaña del SENDA en conjunto con la Municipalidad de Viña del mar, “Decide tu Verano”. Esta campaña busca mantener a los jóvenes lejos de las drogas y el alcohol e incentivarlos a realizar otro tipo de actividades, promulgando la sana entretención.
En la ocasión, el Team de la Casa del Deporte animó a la gente que se encontraba en la playa con entretenidos bailes y entregando premios, para así demostrar qye no se necesitan ni alcohol ni drogas para pasarlo bien. Esta misma actividad se realizará también en otras 21 ciudades costeras del país para llegar a la mayor cantidad de jóvenes y adolescentes a sumarse a esta campaña.
El evento contó con la presencia de la alcaldesa Virginia Reginato, quien hizo un llamado a realizar actividades deportivas y recreativas este verano como una manera de alejarse de las drogas y el alcohol, apuntando especialmente a los jóvenes. Pero personas de todas las edades participaron de esta actividad y se mostraron muy conformes con esta campaña preventiva.
Lucía, ya de edad avanzada, aseguraba que es una excelente actividad. “Es estupenda, estoy participando aquí con mis nietos y me parece regio que recalquen que las drogas son malas”, asegura ella. Niños que asistieron también al evento se mostraron contentos; Elías (11 años) consideró que era una campaña muy buena porque “así van a haber menos drogadictos”.
Turistas argentinos que se encontraban en la playa no dudaron en hacer una pausa al relajo y sumarse a esta actividad animada por el Team de la Casa del Deporte. Cinthya vino desde Mendoza a Viña del Mar, y comenta que “es una actividad muy buena y original, y ojalá los chicos se sumen a esta campaña”. Su compatriota Carlos tuvo una similar opinión, asegurando que “es una actividad muy divertida, muy buena la iniciativa”.
