I loved her as one loves a statue

Perfectly poised and gazing

I loved her solidity

Though I longed for her to be softer

Though I longed for her to be more fluid

Though I longed for her beyond humanness

And in the deepest parts of myself I kept her

In the image I wanted to see

To feel

To taste

To touch

To smell

To hear

And that’s when the garden started growing

I saw her smile from behind her eyes

And then she blossomed

And everything became these flowers

And everything was connected

And she was me

And I was her

And then there were only the flowers themselves

Self portrait

Took this shot from the bus while on my journey back from Inverness to London

This lifeless tower seemed to me that it very much belongs there. I was returning from a five days trip with a spiritual group. We had been meditating by shores of Loch Ness. The reason I call this picture such is that it reminds me of self affirmation we were using during our manifestation. It goes like - I unconditionally love and accept myself as I am right now. The tower somehow, although lifeless, gives me this impression of its being and claiming its right to exist as it is, and loving itself for it.

I think everybody should try to be comfortable in their own skin. The reality is that it's hard, very hard, whether you're big, small, wide, or tall. Socially, my body type would be identified has "skinny," but I still struggle with body image from time to time. I have cellulite and stretch marks. My stomach has rolls when I sit. I gained 15 pounds in a month recently. My size makes me biased because I've never experienced being anything more than "skinny." But your body type doesn't define you (unless you want it to, of course). As long as you're taking care of yourself, you are who you are. You were born into the body you have, so you might as well enjoy it while you have it. Every curve or lack of curves every roll, every jiggle, every indention, every bone that pokes out. You get what I'm saying.

I used to not enjoy taking portraits of other people, but now I do. I love it, actually. My goal when it comes to photographing others is to capture the beauty someone may not see, and to make people feel beautiful/handsome/whatever adjective you'd like to identify with!

~All the women in me are tired~

I just wanted to you to see me...Actually me! I'm this tired, sometimes emotionally unstable person, who goes from extreme highs to the lowest lows desperate to find that middle ground that so many of you do so well, I feel like some days in wading through mud, never to reach my destination and I just want to fall in a heap of gooey mess. Somebody posted in the comment of my last photo that they would like to see my face, to see me looking at the camera so here I am, in all of my non-glory...Just me and my nothingness.
