Another Picture Pendant. Craft wire and just a few size 15 seed beeds.
This was a bit of a marathon effort. Bonnie E. Bousquet-Smith's tutorial "Faux Knitting" was a very time consuming piece but I'm glad I completed it. It's herringbone stitch in size 11 and 15s, with a brickstitch button around a size 6 seed bead. I don't know that I'll make another one, but it's finished finally!
I've been playing with long magatamas and St Petersburg/ peyote bezel. I intended it to be a pendant, but its much thicker than I was expecting and I'm not sure what I want to do with it now. It's double sided and about a centimeter thick.
This little stitchalong pattern sewed up in a flash. I enjoyed spending some time on this. I added seed beads because I am so RUBBISH at French Knots - just can't get them. I don't know what to use it on, might see what others are doing to get some inspiration.
The photos don't make justice to this car, truly a work of art. The entire car is covered with elaborate designs made with tiny seed beads in the style of Huichol art. It's a sight to behold! They told me that the entire work took around 7 months.

If I stare at it long enough, I can almost believe I see it growing. But the vines are wire, the berries are pearls, the leaves are metal, the glistening water drops are rhinestones.
Nevertheless, this intricately embroidered necklace presages spring in a mix of nubile pastels and vibrant blues.
In the mix is a vintage leaf brooch, a vintage 'grape cluster' earring, two turquoise teardrop beads, lots of pale blue and teal rhinestones, freshwater pearls, aurora borealis glass beads, abalone shell, and hammered wire among other things.

Bead knitting evening bag. 4 hanks of cut seed beads, one ball of size 8 crochet thread, size 0000 needles.
How many buttons and beads can you sew onto a piece of crocheted yarn. I could still have added more but it seemed finished.

The Etsy Beadweavers team challenge for the month of February has the theme: "The Ocean". This has tortured me very much (and I tried at least 10 different versions before finishing this necklace!) as here it's cold and snowy, and because I wanted to make (for the first time in my life) something simple. Obviously, it didn't come out very "simple"... Finally I gave up; I plunged into the waves of my imaginary ocean and I let it take me wherever it wanted.

These handmade beaded flowers were in the window display of the Julie Artisans' Gallery on Madison Avenue in New York City when i photographed them from the sidewalk.
This necklace was all done doing peyote and the vine stitch. The center of the flowers are fancy jasper. I wanted the look of babys breaths so I used fresh water pearls and swarovski crystals.
This was my entry for the Oriental Contest of the Girls Next Door forum and my first bead embroidered cuff; and I won the FIRST prize! The faux jade cabs are made of polymer clay, as well as the small faux coral pieces. The beautiful necklace of Bettina (Welker) with faux jade and faux coral inspired me to use these polymer clay pieces with copper, bronze, gold and gunmetal coloured seed beads, which are all sewed to a sheet of stiff stuff. This sheet was then glued to a brass bracelet blank, and the inside was finished with a piece of light brown ultra suede.
My first bracelet. With freeform, it's hard to know when it's finished. Delicas, Tohos, seed beads, a few Swarovskis.
Seed beads of various shapes and sizes went into this bracelet. So much work!
I'l be listing this in my Etsy shop sometime soon. The link is in my profile.
Beaded by hand, displayed in a shadowbox. The beadwork measures approximately 3 1/2" x 5 3/4" There's a lot more texture in this piece than is apparent in the photo.
