The leaded glass front of a secondhand clothes shop.

Pictures of the kimono and related items I bought from a tiny second-hand shop I found in Arashiyama, Kyoto.

I bought:

Black Haori (3000)

Pale Green Haori (1000)

White/Black Kimono (5000)

Green/Blue Kimono (2000)

Blue Rainbow Obi Set (2500)

White Tabi Socks (1000)

Red Cord Zori Shoes (1500)

There are expected minor imperfections, mostly on the insides along common sweat stain areas or a few possible sunburn spots. I believe they're all mainly silk though, and they're very well-made.

The obi is a premade-type, so I don't have to learn how to tie it! Thank god, otherwise I'd never wear these.

This piece was rolled up and tied when I bought it so I didn't find this fabric on the inside until I got it home and opened it up to wash it and found that it was a tied baby quilt sort of thing. Very heavy and stiff for a baby quilt so it doesn't look like it was ever used.

So many books!

Well yesterday was interesting! Got an amazing sofa of Freecycle which was supposed to be a two seat sofa, kinda sure it's a three seat sofa. Well would you know old Manx Cottages don't fit modern sized things! Thank the lord our new neighbor Baz (seriously amazing guy) shown us how to take the window apart!! Guess who was the unlucky person who had to hold it up, yep me! Those windows are H.E.A.V.Y!!! Sofa looks amazing though, so many ideas on what to do with it, and I love love love the Mallard's Michael knows me well, I cannot wait till we have the fire on, the quilts on and the NFL on.

We rescued the wooden cubby from the neighbor's trash and bought the sheets at the thrift store for 3 bucks.

Last week I bought some new clothes in a lovely secondhand shop. :) I do not know what I could do without secondhands... These shops are mostly better than malls. I am able to find special clothes and I do not see my clothes on every people when I go out.
