One day, my mother-in-law told me delightedly that the Lord Jesus has returned in flesh. Afterward, she invited other sisters to testify to me patiently about God’s work of the last days. Through their fellowship, I knew that Almighty God is the second coming of the Lord Jesus. So, I gaily accepted God’s new work.God’s Word Helped Me Overcome Satan’s Temptation Twice God’s word was so attractive that once I had the time, I would read it and learn to sing hymns. The more I read God’s word, the greater energy I had to believe in God, the sweeter I felt at heart, and the more released my spirit was. I couldn’t say how happy I was in my heart!...
Two days later, the sister who was watering me came for a visit. I told her, “My eye would hurt severely once I read this book. You’d better take it away and give it to others. I really can’t read it.” After hearing my words, she fellowshiped with me patiently, “Sister, we’re fortunate to catch up with the work of true God. Satan and the evil spirits won’t possibly let us go and follow true God to be saved. Especially when we have just accepted God’s new work and haven’t understood much of all the truths expressed by God, this is the chance that Satan will easily take advantage of to disturb our reading God’s word and destroy our normal relationship with God. God’s word says: ‘The work of the Holy Spirit is a form of proactive guidance and positive enlightenment. It does not allow people to be passive. It brings them solace, gives them faith and resolve and it enables them to pursue being made perfect by God. When the Holy Spirit works, people are able to actively enter; they are not passive or forced, but are proactive.’ ‘The work of the Holy Spirit is proactive progress, while the work of Satan is regression and passivity, disobedience toward God, opposition to God, loss of faith in God, and unwillingness to even sing songs or get up and dance. That which comes from the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit is not forced upon you, but is especially natural. If you follow it, you will have the truth, and if you don’t, then afterward there will be reproach. If it is the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, then nothing you do will be interfered with or constrained, you will be set free, there will be a path to practice in your actions, and you will not be subject to any restraints, and be able to act upon the will of God. The work of Satan brings many things that cause interference to you, it makes you unwilling to pray, too lazy to eat and drink the words of God, and undisposed to live the life of the church, and it estranges you from the spiritual life’ (‘The Work of the Holy Spirit and the Work of Satan’). God’s word tells us clearly the manifestations of the work of the Holy Spirit and the work of Satan. The work of the Holy Spirit is completely positive, particularly natural and soft, without forcing man to do this or that; when the Holy Spirit moves man and enlightens man, man will feel liberated in spirit and his relationship with God will be more and more normal. Whereas the work of Satan is absolutely negative, aimed at disturbing and destroying our normal relationship with God; and Satan always does this through great force, distracting our mind from quieting ourselves to read God’s word or become close to God. Gradually, we stay away from God and betray God; this is Satan’s base purpose. Just like the environment you encounter today: Your eye hurts, this is out of Satan’s disturbance. Satan wants to force us to quit reading God’s word, so that we may stay away from God and betray God. We should see things from a spiritual perspective, increase our discernment, and see through Satan’s trick.”

How to Treat Those Who Testify God’s Second Coming?

After reading this story, I was inspired and started to think: If no matter what we encounter, we always deal with them by our own notions and imaginations, unwilling to accept others opinions or humbling ourselves, but stubbornly holding to our own imaginations no matter how people speak, our life will be ruined. If we don’t settle our notions, it’s too dangerous. Then I think about brothers and sisters in the church, they are living in a state of passivity and weakness, and are expecting the Lord can return soon; but at the same time, they have many notions and imaginations about the Lord’s return. The majority of them believe that the Lord will descend on the clouds. Some of them imagine that the Lord will come riding on a horse. … Aren’t they just the same as the soldier in the story, who only believes his own notions and imaginations and almost ruin his life? We all know that it is now near the end of the last days. The prophesies in the Bible have basically been fulfilled. It is time for the Lord to return, and the Lord must have returned. So, we must find a church that has the work of the Holy Spirit and follow God’s footsteps. Some people, however, dare not go out seeking and investigating, thinking that there would be false Christs in the last days. For the Lord Jesus said: “And then if any man shall say to you, See, here is Christ; or, see, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect” (Mark 13:21–22). Many of us believers expound the prophesies according to our notions and imagination, thinking that all news preaching the Lord has returned is false. As long as we don’t listen or read, we’ll not be deceived. But, is this really after the Lord’s will? If we always keep to such notions, being passive and guarding against all the news, will we ignore someone who says that the Lord has returned and miss the opportunity of being raptured into the kingdom of heaven?

In the church, Pastor Zhu who wore a suit and leather shoes was standing at the pulpit, with a Bible in his hand. He preached: “Brothers and sisters, the prophecies of the the second coming of Jesus in the Revelation have basically been fulfilled. We shall be watching and waiting. Now is the time that the Lord comes again, so we must keep our meetings no matter how weak we are.”...
Brother Zhang seemed to suddenly see the light, he knocked at his head and said: “Oh! I see. The true way has suffered persecution since ancient times. This is why the religious world reacts so sharply to the Eastern Lightning. I think of the Lord Jesus’ words: ‘Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me’ (Rev 3:20). ‘My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me’ (John 10:27). ‘And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him’ (Matthew 25:6). From these verses we can see that the Lord told us to welcome and listen to His voice once we hear someone preach the message of His return. Can it be that the Eastern Lightning condemned by them is precisely the return of the Lord Jesus?” Sister Mu thought for a while, then she said: “That’s right! I remember something. At that time, all Judaism wildly opposed and condemned the Lord Jesus. Only those who sought the truth welcomed the coming of the Lord, such as Peter, John, Matthew, Mark, Nathanael, and so forth. They recognized that the Lord Jesus was actually the coming Messiah through seeking and investigating. Besides, because the Lord Jesus exposed the Samaritan woman’s hidden facts of darkness during their conversation, the Samaritan woman recognized through His words that the Lord Jesus was the coming Messiah. They were all wise virgins who recognized the Lord’s voice and welcomed His appearance. On the contrary, when the Pharisees heard the Lord’s voice, not only did they not seek or investigate, nor could they recognize God’s voice, but they crucified the Lord on the cross. Finally, they were forsaken by the Lord, and suffered the loss of their nation. Nowadays, we should never become the modern Pharisees. We should seek and investigate the Eastern Lightning actively, see whether what they are preaching is the return of the Lord Jesus, and listen whether Eastern Lightning is the voice of God. Many verses of the Revelation told us that ‘He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches’ (Rev 2:7).” Hearing their conversation, Sister Wang said with surprise: “Right! The Lord Jesus said: ‘I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come’ (Jhn 16:12–13). Can it be that the words of the Spirit of truth are words of God, or words of the Holy Spirit to the churches? Why have so many good sheep of various denominations and sects all accepted the Eastern Lightning? Now, the Eastern Lightning has shaken all denominations and sects. Isn’t this the sign of the second coming?”

How to Welcome Jesus’ Return to Be After God’s Will

Hello, brothers and sisters! Acts 1:11 says: “You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven.” The Lord left on a white cloud after His resurrection, and so He will return on a white cloud. Holding fast to this viewpoint, I’ve been on constant lookout for the Lord’s descending on a cloud. However, some time ago, I heard from my classmate that the Lord had returned, and that He had become flesh and come down to the earth as the Son of man to do His work and speak. I can’t see this matter clearly. It’s true that the prophecies of the Lord’s second coming have been basically fulfilled. But I still haven’t seen the Lord coming with a cloud to take us. I feel confused: Am I right to await the Lord’s coming on a cloud? I’d like to discuss this with you and hope you can give me some help.

I’ve just seen your post, and I feel the same way. In 2000, the pastors said that the Lord would be bound to return and take us back to the heavenly home someday. But it’s 2018 now, and yet we haven’t seen the Lord coming with clouds to take us. Nowadays, disasters are frequently happening all over the world, such as flood, drought, earthquakes and wars, which exactly fulfills the prophecies of the last days the Lord Jesus said to His disciples. Judging from the signs, we can see that the time of the Lord’s return seems to have come. What your classmate said may be a fact. I think the Lord’s coming is an important thing and you should make an investigation.
Sister Zhu:
Sister Gao and Sister Yu, we can’t lose faith in the Lord, because He is trustworthy. The Bible clearly says: “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory” (Luke 21:27). It was said by the Lord Himself that He will come with clouds at His return, and that every eye will see Him. The Lord’s words won’t be wrong. So there is no need to worry, and we just continue to await the Lord’s descending on a cloud to take us.
