God who becomes flesh is called Christ, so the Christ that can give people truth is called God. It is not too much to say like that. For He possesses the substance of God. So God says that the authenticity of Christ cannot be defined by man, but this is answered by God Himself, and this is decided by God Himself. The new kingdom Gospel hymn “The Significance of the Appearance of God” is performed through Tai Chi Dance, which is special and fluent. It gently tells you the true significance of God’s work and word in His two incarnations. With green grass and blue sky as background, the dance perfectly corresponds to a soft, melodious ensemble of Zheng and Xiao, the discourse between classical musical instruments. The smooth melody, like heavenly music, takes you away from the noisy world to the Creator to enjoy His words of life in the new age!
The appearance of God refers to His personal arrival on earth to do His work.

After Beaulieu and Carennac, I drove 90 minutes to the southernmost and westernmost point of this Grand Tour 2022 to reach the small town of Moissac, not far from Toulouse in the département of Tarn-et-Garonne.
Dedicated to Saint Peter and located on the path to Compostela (and therefore a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Benedictine abbey of Moissac was founded in the 700s. According to legend, it was founded even earlier, in 506, by the freshly converted Clovis, King of the Franks, but there is no historical evidence that this ever happened. Affiliated to Cluny from 1047, it became the most powerful monastery of southwestern France and numbered over 1,000 monks —most likely including lay brothers, though.
There is so much to say about the abbey of Moissac that I will, for the most part, refer my readers to the many lengthy internet pages that describe it, not to mention of course the Quercy roman book by Zodiaque. The most famous parts are the stunning tympanum, the iconic statue of Saint Jeremy and the Year 1100 cloister with its 7- capitals, most of them historied. All of those are masterpieces of Romanesque art and known worldwide.
The abbey was on the very first list of Historic Landmarks in 1840. It is an absolute must-see for all people interested in the Middle Ages, and we will devote quite a few days to its visit.
The southern portal tympanum (which could use a good cleaning, as is shown by the tested area on the viola of one of the Elders towards the top right) ranks among the half dozen absolute masterpieces of Romanesque sculpture, and probably among the best two or three (the tympanum of Autun also comes to mind). Tens of thousands of scholars have studied it in minute detail. It is the single most impressive and astounding piece of art in Moissac, although I must admit I have a preference for the long and lean statue of Jeremy, which I will show tomorrow.

Synopsis:

This news has rocked the entire religious world.
Yang Aiguang, the protagonist of the film, has believed in the Lord for decades and has always been enthusiastically engaged in work and preaching, waiting to welcome the Lord's return. One day, two people come and knock on the door, tell Yang Aiguang and her husband that the Lord Jesus has returned, and share the words of Almighty God with them. They are deeply moved by Almighty God's words, but because Yang Aiguang has been subjected to the fallacies, deception, and strictures of the pastors and elders, she throws the witnesses of The Church of Almighty God out of the house. After that, the witnesses knock on their door on many occasions and read the words of Almighty God to Yang Aiguang, bearing witness to God's Work in the last days. During this time, the pastor disrupts and hinders Yang Aiguang time after time, and she continues to waver. However, through hearing the words of Almighty God, Yang Aiguang comes to understand the truth and gains discernment regarding the rumors and fallacies propagated by the pastors and elders. She finally understands how the Lord knocks on people's doors during His return in the last days, and how we should welcome Him. When the fog clears, Yang Aiguang finally hears the voice of God and acknowledges that Almighty God really is the return of the Lord Jesus!

Before driving down south to Moissac, I stopped in the village of Carennac, where a priory was created by the abbey of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, which we visited in photographs over the past few days.
The church was integrated into the Mediæval sheet wall that defended the village, therefore the main two-door portal opened to the South, on what used to be the village’s main street, even though it is quite narrow t our modern eyes.
That portal and the splendid tympanum above are almost the only parts that remain today for the aficionados of Romanesque. Construction began on the church we still see today in the late 1000s, but it replaced an earlier one, as there is at least one written mention of it in the cartulary of the abbey of Beaulieu in 932. The fact that the priory was donated to the powerful abbey of Cluny is recorded in 1047 and 48, and construction must have begun on the new church shortly thereafter. You need to understand that even though human life on average was much shorter than today, the conception of time was very different and “shortly thereafter” usually meant a decade or two...
The portal and its tympanum were probably not built before 1150 or so.
Like what we have seen in Beaulieu, the theme of the tympanum is the Parousie, the Second Coming of Christ, but the part that does take place before the Last Judgment. Christ in the mandorla is surrounded as expected by the Tetramorph, with the lion and ox shown in poses very similar to those we will see in Moissac, and by the Apostles. There are no dead people being resurrected and coming out of their coffins, no sinners condemned to suffer forever in Hell, no horn-blowing angels, etc. All of that will happen later, this is a much more peaceful and glorious moment, only Jesus coming back among His most faithful followers.

The fact that the priory was donated to the powerful abbey of Cluny is recorded in 1047 and 48, and construction must have begun on the new church shortly thereafter. You need to understand that even though human life on average was much shorter than today, the conception of time was very different and “shortly thereafter” usually meant a decade or two...
The portal and its tympanum were probably not built before 1150 or so.

Parts of the voussures (the repeated arches around the tympanum) were obviously re-made much later and the sobriety of their bare stones does not seem in accordance with the rich, typically Cluniac decoration of the sculpted parts. I am personally quite sure that, like we will see in Moissac, the archivolt was adorned.

and a work of bringing mankind into the new age.
It’s the significance of the appearance of God.

It was entirely founded by Almighty God personally and is led by Him as the Shepherd. It was definitely not created by a person. Christ is the truth, the way, and the life. "Wir sind das Volk!" (We are the People! in German) was the most famous chant repeated by 70,000 protesters in Leipzig in front of the STAZI Headquarters on Oct. 9, 1989; it reminded the leaders of the “People’s Republic” of Eastern Germany whom they had to represent. Then the regime collapsed.
Similarly, We Are the Church: all of us, Christians, who were baptized (christened) in Jesus Christ and vested Jesus Christ. The high priests are not themselves the Church, but mere managers; the Head of the Church is Jesus Christ, not the high priests! Especially the high priests grovelling (kneeling) to antichrist are soon to be judged by Jesus Christ in His Second Coming.

Dedicated to Saint Peter and located on the path to Compostela (and therefore a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Benedictine abbey of Moissac was founded in the 700s. According to legend, it was founded even earlier, in 506, by the freshly converted Clovis, King of the Franks, but there is no historical evidence that this ever happened. Affiliated to Cluny from 1047, it became the most powerful monastery of southwestern France and numbered over 1,000 monks —most likely including lay brothers, though.
The most famous parts that survive today are the stunning tympanum, the iconic statue of Saint Jeremy and the Year 1100 cloister. All of those are masterpieces of Romanesque art and known worldwide.
The abbey was on the very first list of Historic Landmarks in 1840.
The southern portal tympanum (which could use a good cleaning, as is shown by the tested area on the viola of one of the Elders towards the top right) ranks among the half dozen absolute masterpieces of Romanesque sculpture, and probably among the best two or three (the tympanum of Autun also comes to mind). Tens of thousands of scholars have studied it in minute detail. It is the single most impressive and astounding piece of art in Moissac.

This view from inside the sort of “narthex” or antechamber gives you a better feel for how wide the portal is. The actual entrance to the church is to the left, but the nave, the cloister and the monastery buildings were severely damaged during the Wars of Religion, to the point that monks abandoned the place altogether.
Reconstruction was not begun until 1478, which means that everything else besides what I show you is Gothic or Renaissance, and hence not very interesting to me.

Carennac is on the Via Arverna path to Compostela and listed among the Plus beaux villages de France.

The Second Coming (North wall of the Sanctuary).
A shots' series of the wallpaintings inside the Sanctuary of the church dedicated to St. Paraskevē at the village Stephani (aka Sklēniássa), Aspropotamos, Greece. The church dates from 1770. The village was built at the highest altitude (4,462 ft / 1360 m) of all the Aspropotamos villages (county of Trikala, Greece).
St. Paraskevē (aka Paraskevi, born on a Friday, the Righteous Martyr of Rome) endured exceedingly painful torments during the Roman Emperor Antoninus Pius's reign because of being a Christian, then was beheaded in 140 AD; the faithfull pray to her for the healing of eye ailments. The church of St. Paraskevē has its patronal festival on July 26. May we have the Saint's blessings!

The apocalyptic image of the Son of Man comes to the fore in this, the final week of the Liturgical Year. This wonderful mosaic designed by Burne Jones was completed in 1885 and is in the apse of St Paul's within the Walls in Rome.
Christ is shown youthful and vigorous, seated on the seraphim throne with a rainbow at his feet. The river of life flows from under his throne, which is positioned in front of the golden walls of the heavenly Jerusalem. Archangels guard the city gates, except for one which is empty because it was abandoned by Lucifer. Overhead, a host of angels dance in exsultation.
The Greek inscription and Hebrew inscription are the opening words of the books of the Apocalypse and Genesis, showing that Christ is author of the old and new creation, of heaven and of earth, of all time.

To say I am ambivalent about "our" flag is putting it mildly. On second thought I am not ambivalent. I am simply not a patriot.
