If We Just Wait for the Lord to Descend With Clouds, Will We Really Be Able to Meet Him?

My uncle has believed in the Lord for many years, and he is a preacher of our church. Since I was young, I have liked to listen to his preachings. He often talked to us about the scriptures about the Lord descending with the clouds and told us that in the last days the Lord Jesus would come upon a cloud to take us up into the kingdom of heaven. He also told us that we must persist in gathering, reading the Bible, praying to God, and waiting vigilantly so that we would not miss out on the opportunity to welcome the Lord’s return. So, I always waited for the Lord this way, hoping one day He would suddenly descend upon a cloud to raise me up into the heavenly kingdom...
I nodded my head and thought what my uncle had was reasonable. However, I was still not clear as to why the Lord would return in two ways. Therefore, I asked Sister Tong about this. She answered with a smile, “Xiaoting, the Lord will return both in secret and in public; this contains God’s will and wisdom. All of us who have read the Bible for many years know that in the last days, God will do His work of classing each according to their kind and rewarding good and punishing evil, separating the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the tares, and the good servants from the evil servants, and then rewarding good and punishing evil. If God directly descends in public to take us up into the kingdom of heaven, then how could good and evil be separated? And how could the work of classing everyone according to their kind be accomplished? So, God first comes in secret to do His work to separate the people who love the truth and who hate the truth, separate good and evil, and then He will descend with the clouds to openly appear to all men and reward or punish each one according to their deeds. Isn’t this God’s righteousness? If God directly descended on a cloud to appear publicly, all men would see Him, and all of them, good and evil, would believe in God, and no one would dare resist. This couldn’t reveal the wheat and tares, sheep and goats, good servants and evil servants, not to mention differentiating true believers and false believers. During the stage where God becomes flesh to do His work in secret, He will practically utter and speak. All those who are wise virgins can understand God’s voice and will return before God’s throne. They are able to receive the watering and nourishment from God’s words so that they will be purified and saved by God. Those who don’t belong to God and condemn or slander God’s work, they are the wicked and God’s enemies exposed by His work. They’re just like the Pharisees who resisted the Lord Jesus back then. They appeared godly outside, but when the Lord Jesus came to work, they not only didn’t seek or examine His work, but also stopped the Jewish commoners from following the Lord Jesus, and even nailed the Lord to the cross. In the last days, God will work in secret to capture the truth of people disobeying and resisting Him and reveal and classify people according to their kind, gathering the wheat into the barn and eliminating the tares. After that, God will appear to all men openly. These are the steps of God’s work in the last days, from which we can see God’s almightiness and wisdom, and it also fulfills the Lord’s prophecy: ‘And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn’ (Matthew 24:30). At that time, God will openly reward good and punish evil. Those who are perfected by God’s words during the time He works in secret will be brought into His kingdom, while those who don’t accept God’s work of judging and cleansing in the last days but resist and condemn it will be left weeping and gnashing their teeth in the disasters.”
After hearing that, I nodded and said, “Thank the Lord! Sister Tong, after listening to your fellowship I understand that God descends in secret to work, on the one hand, to save man, and, on the other hand, to expose man. All those who have true faith in God will return before God’s throne, whereas those who have false faith in God and who are the wicked will be revealed and eliminated by God. This really is God’s righteousness! Thank the Lord! The more we fellowship, the more I feel that God is so wise and almighty.”

It’s not a miracle. It’s not a grand vision.
It’s even less a kind of religious process.
It’s a real and actual fact that can be touched and beheld,
a fact that can be touched and beheld.
Such appearance is not for the sake of following a process,
or for the sake of a short-term undertaking;
it’s, rather, for the sake of a stage of work in the management plan of God.
The appearance of God is always meaningful,
and is always connected to His management plan,
connected to His management plan.
This “appearance” is totally not the same
as the “appearance” of God’s leading man,
guiding man or enlightening man, guiding man or enlightening man.
God does a stage of great work each time He reveals Himself.
This work is different from that of any other age,
unimaginable to man, never experienced by man, never experienced by man.
It’s a work that starts a new age and concludes the old age,
a new and improved work for the salvation of mankind,

It’s the significance of the appearance of God.

She takes on a lot of responsibilities for the church, and she has compassion for her brothers and sisters. This caused a fierce debate to unfold. The pastor stubbornly acted in his own individual interests and did not hesitate to divide the church, leading the believers down the wrong path. Cheng Huize and a few others held fast to the way of the Lord, and fiercely opposed the church becoming a factory and joining the Three-Self Church. Although the elders at the church expressed that they were opposed to this, they only did so to protect their own status and livelihood. Even though the pastor and elders were all harboring secrets in their hearts, locked in constant strife for their own fame and profit, fighting out of envy, when they saw that most of the good sheep and leading sheep in the church had investigated the Eastern Lightning and turned to Almighty God one by one, they joined together with the Chinese Communist government and fought to repress the Eastern Lightning, blocking the believers from coming to study the Eastern Lightning, urging the followers to report them to the police. They set an example by reporting and arresting the brothers and sisters preaching the kingdom gospel. Cheng Huize and others saw that the pastor and the elders had deviated from the Lord's way a long time ago, and the church had already lost the work of the Holy Spirit and had degenerated into a religious place like Babylon the Great, cursed and reviled by the Lord. Because of this, they decided to investigate the Eastern Lightning to search for the manifestation and work of God. After intense debates with the preachers from the Church of Almighty God, Cheng Huize and the others finally began to see clearly that the leaders of the religious world opposed God in substance, and the reason why the religious world declined, day by day drawing nearer to its destruction: The pastors and elders of the religious world, although they could explain the Bible and hold the Bible in high esteem, they only do so for status and livelihood. They are confusing and ensnaring people. They don't hold God in high regard or bear witness for Him, they don't understand God at all. In the last days, when the incarnate Almighty God appears and does His work, they oppose Him without the slightest scruple, they condemn God's work, even to the point where they unite with the Chinese Communist government to arrest believers. This is enough to prove that they possess a satanic nature that hates the truth and hates God. They are modern-day Pharisees, impersonating virtuous people, antichrists who deny that God becomes flesh. On July 19, 1976 Jan van Raay will execute, in Venice, Italy, a conceptual art work entitles "The Second Coming", an outgrowth of Ms. van Raay's 1974 Fishwork entitled "Fish in Venice." The artist will sign and number 100 "Fish in Venice" photo-postacrds and address the cards to herself. A note attached to the cards, printed in English, German, and French, will state: THIS IS AN ART PROCESS. THIS CARD IS FREE. PLEASE RETURN IT (OR A SUBSTITUTE) TO THE ARTIST WITH ANY MESSAGE. THANK YOU. Ms. van Raay will then proceed to various sites in Venice which have souvenir post card racks. She will place her "Fish in Venice" postcards among the souvenir cards; photograph each rack at its location; record the exact time of placement, and the numbers of the cards, to complete her documentation. She will continue this process until all of the 100 cards have been distributed throughout the city of Venice. "The Second Coming" will then complete itself.

One day, my mother-in-law told me delightedly that the Lord Jesus has returned in flesh. Afterward, she invited other sisters to testify to me patiently about God’s work of the last days. Through their fellowship, I knew that Almighty God is the second coming of the Lord Jesus. So, I gaily accepted God’s new work.God’s Word Helped Me Overcome Satan’s Temptation Twice God’s word was so attractive that once I had the time, I would read it and learn to sing hymns. The more I read God’s word, the greater energy I had to believe in God, the sweeter I felt at heart, and the more released my spirit was. I couldn’t say how happy I was in my heart!...
Two days later, the sister who was watering me came for a visit. I told her, “My eye would hurt severely once I read this book. You’d better take it away and give it to others. I really can’t read it.” After hearing my words, she fellowshiped with me patiently, “Sister, we’re fortunate to catch up with the work of true God. Satan and the evil spirits won’t possibly let us go and follow true God to be saved. Especially when we have just accepted God’s new work and haven’t understood much of all the truths expressed by God, this is the chance that Satan will easily take advantage of to disturb our reading God’s word and destroy our normal relationship with God. God’s word says: ‘The work of the Holy Spirit is a form of proactive guidance and positive enlightenment. It does not allow people to be passive. It brings them solace, gives them faith and resolve and it enables them to pursue being made perfect by God. When the Holy Spirit works, people are able to actively enter; they are not passive or forced, but are proactive.’ ‘The work of the Holy Spirit is proactive progress, while the work of Satan is regression and passivity, disobedience toward God, opposition to God, loss of faith in God, and unwillingness to even sing songs or get up and dance. That which comes from the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit is not forced upon you, but is especially natural. If you follow it, you will have the truth, and if you don’t, then afterward there will be reproach. If it is the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, then nothing you do will be interfered with or constrained, you will be set free, there will be a path to practice in your actions, and you will not be subject to any restraints, and be able to act upon the will of God. The work of Satan brings many things that cause interference to you, it makes you unwilling to pray, too lazy to eat and drink the words of God, and undisposed to live the life of the church, and it estranges you from the spiritual life’ (‘The Work of the Holy Spirit and the Work of Satan’). God’s word tells us clearly the manifestations of the work of the Holy Spirit and the work of Satan. The work of the Holy Spirit is completely positive, particularly natural and soft, without forcing man to do this or that; when the Holy Spirit moves man and enlightens man, man will feel liberated in spirit and his relationship with God will be more and more normal. Whereas the work of Satan is absolutely negative, aimed at disturbing and destroying our normal relationship with God; and Satan always does this through great force, distracting our mind from quieting ourselves to read God’s word or become close to God. Gradually, we stay away from God and betray God; this is Satan’s base purpose. Just like the environment you encounter today: Your eye hurts, this is out of Satan’s disturbance. Satan wants to force us to quit reading God’s word, so that we may stay away from God and betray God. We should see things from a spiritual perspective, increase our discernment, and see through Satan’s trick.”
