Facing the day when the Lord appears, every brother and sister, who have true faith in the Lord, will hope that we can be the wise virgins, and that we can welcome the bridegroom and have supper with the Lord. Some of us often read the Bible and pray, watching and preparing; some choose to work tirelessly, sacrificing and expending themselves; others regularly attend meetings, attentively waiting for the arrival of the Lord. … Everyone is spending for the Lord, preparing for and awaiting the Lord’s second coming in our own ways and is firmly convinced that we are the wise virgins and that, in this way, we can certainly welcome the return of the Lord. But is our preparing oil like this after the Lord’s heart? What are the wise virgins after all? How should the wise virgins prepare oil to welcome the Lord?
Recall the age when the Lord Jesus came to work two thousand years ago. The temples then were desolate and turned into a den of thieves, without God’s glory. When the Jewish people fell into darkness and had nowhere to turn, the Lord Jesus—the Messiah, came and did His work of redeeming mankind, bringing the way of repentance to man. As for those who sincerely sought the truth and yearned for the appearance of God, they, with a seeking heart, could pay attention to listening for God’s voice, and thus they saw that the Lord Jesus’ words and work are brimming with authority and power just like the Creator’s creation of the heavens and earth and all things.

After a Bible study meeting, Pastor Huang left hurriedly, clutching the Bible under his arm. I and several other co-workers began to talk about today’s meeting. Sister Li looked thoughtful and said: “Brothers and sisters, all these years we have been waiting to welcome the coming of the Lord. The Gospel of Matthew 25:31 tells us clearly, ‘When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his glory.’ I’m sure the Lord will come again with His authority and power. The scene will be very spectacular: The Lord Jesus shall be sitting on His glory throne with majesty, and all people on earth will be bending the knee to Him, worshiping Him, and accepting Him as the only true God.”
At this moment, brother Chen took the thread of the conversation and said seriously, “As to these verses of the Lord’s second coming with great glory, I don’t think we should simply receive them literally. Besides, we need to ponder their inner meanings. Because the Bible says, ‘Who also has made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life’ (2 Corinthians 3:6). These years, I’ve been thinking of this question: If the Lord really comes upon white clouds with great glory, it’s obvious that all people will kneel down and leap in joy. But why does the Lord say, ‘And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn’? (Matthew 24:30). I think ‘great glory’ here should contain some unfathomable mystery …”

The pioneering "Cyber/Fetish/Gender-Hacking" party CLICK + DRAG, which ushered out the 20th Century in style and returned with a bang in 2008, held its second annual Future-Spectacle on October 17. Two of Click's founding producers - director and visual artist ROB ROTH and nightlife impresario CHI CHI VALENTI of THE JACKIE FACTORY staged this year's epic CLICK + DRAG 3.1/ THE SECOND COMING at sympatico venue SANTOS PARTY HOUSE. CLICK 3.1/ THE SECOND COMING was a two floor, evening-length epic, preserving the night's strict dress code and pansexual mix of fetishists, artists, gender-hackers and "Glam Nerds."
CLICK 3.1 was inspired by the W.B. YEATS poem THE SECOND COMING, and its themes of new gods for (often terrifying) new Ages, "Spiritus Mundi" or universal subconscious, and a post-Christian world. CLICK 3.1 celebrated gender-bending new prophets and prophetesses, and the neo-tribalism that borrows elements from a myriad of religions to create new believers and practices. CLICK + DRAG 3.1 featured multimedia works directed by Roth and installations and performances by dozens of collaborators.
CLICK 2009 highlights included trans icon and vocalist OUR LADY J, who presented GOSPEL FOR THE GODLESS with piano, choir and chadri design by GARO SPARO, gender-illuminati cabaret troupe THE PIXIE HARLOTS in THE SWITCHING HOUR, and Method Go-Go icons FALON, AMBER RAY and SEQUINETTE. The DJ roster included original Click (and SCISSOR SISTERS) DJ SAMMY JO, DJ JOHNNY DYNELL (who created the night's signature mixes for the clicknyc.com website and show) Darkwave DJs JOSH CHEON (SF) and JOHANNA CONSTANTINE, and electro DJ ANGELO.

When the Son of Man Comes, How Can We Recognize Him?

When the night fell, Jiamin stood before the window, watching the quiet sky with bright moon. the Son of Man She thought of several verses she had looked up when reading the Bible a few days ago, “For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27), “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:37), and “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17:24-25). Jiamin sank into thought: These verses all refer to “ the coming of the Son of man”. Does it mean the Lord will appear to us as the image of the Son of man when He comes again? The Scripture also said, “But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.” The Lord Jesus has been rejected by that generation. But He will be rejected again in the last days. Could it be that the Lord will still suffer the persecution and rejection of the world when He comes again like the incarnate Lord Jesus coming among man?
Jiamin could not help looking back to the scene when the Lord Jesus worked. He brought the gospel of the kingdom of heaven, taught man to confess and repent before God, and performed numerous miracles, such as healing the sick, casting out demons, calming the wind and sea, feeding five thousand with five loaves of bread and two fish, resurrecting the dead, and so on. From that we can see the work and words of the Lord Jesus were the manifestations of God’s authority and power. However, as the Lord Jesus looked ordinary in appearance, people at that time regarded Him as the son of Joseph, a carpenter, and no one treated Him as God. Not until the Lord Jesus resurrected three days after He was crucified, appeared to His disciples for 40 days and then ascended to heaven with clouds did they believe the Lord Jesus was Christ, the incarnate God. Obviously, if mankind doesn’t know the incarnate Son of man, he will surely reject and resist God.

If We Just Wait for the Lord to Descend With Clouds, Will We Really Be Able to Meet Him?

My uncle has believed in the Lord for many years, and he is a preacher of our church. Since I was young, I have liked to listen to his preachings. He often talked to us about the scriptures about the Lord descending with the clouds and told us that in the last days the Lord Jesus would come upon a cloud to take us up into the kingdom of heaven. He also told us that we must persist in gathering, reading the Bible, praying to God, and waiting vigilantly so that we would not miss out on the opportunity to welcome the Lord’s return. So, I always waited for the Lord this way, hoping one day He would suddenly descend upon a cloud to raise me up into the heavenly kingdom...
I nodded my head and thought what my uncle had was reasonable. However, I was still not clear as to why the Lord would return in two ways. Therefore, I asked Sister Tong about this. She answered with a smile, “Xiaoting, the Lord will return both in secret and in public; this contains God’s will and wisdom. All of us who have read the Bible for many years know that in the last days, God will do His work of classing each according to their kind and rewarding good and punishing evil, separating the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the tares, and the good servants from the evil servants, and then rewarding good and punishing evil. If God directly descends in public to take us up into the kingdom of heaven, then how could good and evil be separated? And how could the work of classing everyone according to their kind be accomplished? So, God first comes in secret to do His work to separate the people who love the truth and who hate the truth, separate good and evil, and then He will descend with the clouds to openly appear to all men and reward or punish each one according to their deeds. Isn’t this God’s righteousness? If God directly descended on a cloud to appear publicly, all men would see Him, and all of them, good and evil, would believe in God, and no one would dare resist. This couldn’t reveal the wheat and tares, sheep and goats, good servants and evil servants, not to mention differentiating true believers and false believers. During the stage where God becomes flesh to do His work in secret, He will practically utter and speak. All those who are wise virgins can understand God’s voice and will return before God’s throne. They are able to receive the watering and nourishment from God’s words so that they will be purified and saved by God. Those who don’t belong to God and condemn or slander God’s work, they are the wicked and God’s enemies exposed by His work. They’re just like the Pharisees who resisted the Lord Jesus back then. They appeared godly outside, but when the Lord Jesus came to work, they not only didn’t seek or examine His work, but also stopped the Jewish commoners from following the Lord Jesus, and even nailed the Lord to the cross. In the last days, God will work in secret to capture the truth of people disobeying and resisting Him and reveal and classify people according to their kind, gathering the wheat into the barn and eliminating the tares. After that, God will appear to all men openly. These are the steps of God’s work in the last days, from which we can see God’s almightiness and wisdom, and it also fulfills the Lord’s prophecy: ‘And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn’ (Matthew 24:30). At that time, God will openly reward good and punish evil. Those who are perfected by God’s words during the time He works in secret will be brought into His kingdom, while those who don’t accept God’s work of judging and cleansing in the last days but resist and condemn it will be left weeping and gnashing their teeth in the disasters.”
After hearing that, I nodded and said, “Thank the Lord! Sister Tong, after listening to your fellowship I understand that God descends in secret to work, on the one hand, to save man, and, on the other hand, to expose man. All those who have true faith in God will return before God’s throne, whereas those who have false faith in God and who are the wicked will be revealed and eliminated by God. This really is God’s righteousness! Thank the Lord! The more we fellowship, the more I feel that God is so wise and almighty.”

Cheng Huize is a co-worker at a house church in China. She has believed in the Lord for many years, and has worked for the Lord with unwavering enthusiasm. She takes on a lot of responsibilities for the church, and she has compassion for her brothers and sisters. As her church grew more and more desolate with each passing day, the wickedness in her church were more and more frequent. The pastor energetically proposed that the church should start a factory, and led the followers down the path to wealth, and also enticed them to join the Three-Self Church so they could rely on help from the Chinese Communist government. Even though the pastor and elders were all harboring secrets in their hearts, locked in constant strife for their own fame and profit, fighting out of envy, when they saw that most of the good sheep and leading sheep in the church had investigated the Eastern Lightning and turned to Almighty God one by one, they joined together with the Chinese Communist government and fought to repress the Eastern Lightning, blocking the believers from coming to study the Eastern Lightning, urging the followers to report them to the police. They set an example by reporting and arresting the brothers and sisters preaching the kingdom gospel. Cheng Huize and others saw that the pastor and the elders had deviated from the Lord's way a long time ago, and the church had already lost the work of the Holy Spirit and had degenerated into a religious place like Babylon the Great, cursed and reviled by the Lord. Because of this, they decided to investigate the Eastern Lightning to search for the manifestation and work of God. After intense debates with the preachers from the Church of Almighty God, Cheng Huize and the others finally began to see clearly that the leaders of the religious world opposed God in substance, and the reason why the religious world declined, day by day drawing nearer to its destruction: The pastors and elders of the religious world, although they could explain the Bible and hold the Bible in high esteem, they only do so for status and livelihood. They are confusing and ensnaring people. They don't hold God in high regard or bear witness for Him, they don't understand God at all.
