Abandoned home on a farm, Second Creek, Monroe County, WV.

Birmingham City's change kit for 2021-22, we normally play of course in blue. And although we've always been in the shadow of the posh boys up the road, we are at least the only club in the West Midlands to have won a major trophy this century...

While driving around Woodward Res. we spotted this Red Tail dinning on a Kingsnake.

a second skin tone for Vanessa makes her a different character.

Outside of Second Life, today marks a major milestone in my childs life, graduation. Strangely, the one thing that keeps circling through my brain is the thought that many of my friends also have children graduating today, but because they are currently serving far away - or have already given everything they have; they won't be home to see it.

I feel fortunate today, and just a little sad.

Glamis Castle is situated beside the village of Glamis (/ˈɡlɑːmz/, glahmz) in Angus, Scotland. It is the home of the Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, and is open to the public.

Glamis Castle has been the home of the Lyon family since the 14th century, though the present building dates largely from the 17th century. Glamis Castle was the childhood home of the late Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. Her second daughter, Princess Margaret was born there on 21 August 1930.

The castle is protected as a category A listed building,[1] and the grounds are included on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland, the national listing of significant gardens.

You know that feeling when you turn up at one of your favourite photography spots only to find another photographer already there.

Luckily it doesn't happen to me very often, and when it does it is normally Liz ( www.flickr.com/photos/132547510@N02 ) that is the other photographer, so I just use her as part of the composition.

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.

It ain't pretty, but it offers a certain comfortable familiarity, even in winter...

A view down 2nd Avenue in Whitehorse on a snowy winter's day.

This photo taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 and M.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 Pro hand held. Image processed from raw in Lightroom and Nik Silver Efex Pro 2. This photo was cropped on top and bottom to create a strong horizontal feeling to the image.

Nothing but dullness on the lake this morning. Here’s the second best from yesterday.

Yes, the color is better. But it doesn’t have the interestingness of the lake. If this had been a Photography Park, all I would have to do would be move to the left a 100 yards. But in that it’s not, that would put my in my neighbor’s backyard and the streetlight would be in the way anyway….

We hiked Hooker valley's 10kms return track for sunset loaded down with camera gear, the sky looking good, all hopes were high.

Hopes way too high, stunning spot, but not so stunning light

Hours later we're back at the tents camping in -17 conditions ( after a little star shooting). All excited for another attempt the next morning.

Dragging ourselves out of frost laden tents at 4:30am , glancing at the totally clear skies, we start the walk in again. A few test shots half way into the valley and theres just a touch of cloud forming, we race in further , setup on the small patch of Hooker Lake that was still clear liquid water ( the rest very frozen).

Not a breath of wind

Only the sound of ice and snow falling from the peaks

The sky fills with wispy cloud

and the sun strikes the atmosphere

What a light show

What a place

Second time lucky, right place, right time, and with the right crew. Thanks for the company Tim Poulton, Jay Daley,Bruce Hood, Tim Donnelly, Jeff Smith and Craig Holloway.

I've reached my second Munro summit of Cairn of Claise. I can't say how tired I am now, but quite pleased with myself!!

This bike trip takes me to the summits of two Munro's, Carn an Tuirc & Cairn of Claise. Carn an Tuirc is at a height of 1018 meters (3339 feet), while Cairn of Claise is sightly higher at 1062 meters (3484 feet). It took me four hours to drag myself (and my bike) up there, but because of the bike, it took less than an hour to get back to the car. Total distance covered was 26.5 kilometers (16.5 miles) and starting at 370 meters, I had an altitude gain of over 700 meters (2296+ feet) - that was a big one!!

Some of you may recall I tried a shot like this when I first bought this skirt it didn't work. More success this time round I feel still not perfect but closer to what I aimed for

Olympic National Park, Washington.

Blackpool Transport were one of several operators keen to avail themselves of West Yorkshire PTEs need to divest themselves of late model Leyland Olympians, and indeed, why wouldn't they be. Here UWW 11X heads towards the promenade circa 1987 ... in days gone by, it would have just passed the front of Blackpool Central railway station. These Olympians looked quite pleasant in Blackpool's green and cream and represented a marked improvement in livery from the then recently used all-over cream. Looking at the picture now however, there appears to be some movement between the dome and the mid deck panel at the front, judging by the aluminium oxide runs from the rivets.

If you can't afford the real thing why not go for second best?

Shot in Eugene Oregon, this gentleman was on his way to work and did pull into the nearby Mcdonalds.
