This is a photograph is one of a set of photographs from the Castlepollard 5KM Road Race and Fun Run 2013 which was held in Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 13th August 2014 at 20:00. The race is hosted by North Westmeath Athletic Club. The race has grown in stature and popularity over the years and is now one of the most well attended road races in the midlands. The race offers prizes in all categories. Castlepollard 5KM Road Race attempts to support young runners and walkers by organising a range of underage races around the town square before the adult race at 20:00. Profits from the race go towards grassroots athletics in the region - North Westmeath Athletics, Schools Cross Country, and local community games.

The Castlepollard 5KM can be considered as the final major race in summer road racing in the midlands as with the fading light of the late summer comes less opportunities to hold races in the evening time. Castlepollard is a small town located in North County Westmeath amongst the lakes of Lough Lene and Lough Derravagh. One of the enduring symbols of the Castlepollard 5KM is the tireless work of Andy MacEoin of North Westmeath AC who has been a visitor to almost every road race in the Midlands and beyond over the past number of months to publicize the event. Many of the participants tonight will have seen Andy's strategically placed advertising signs around other road race routes. Certainly this work, and that of many other members of North Westmeath AC, has paid off well.
The race begins near the center of the town square and proceeds directly out the R395 towards Coole and Edgeworthstown. The first KM is flat and quick allowing the field to spread out. The race then enters the Tullynally Castle estate and proceeds up the tree-lined avenue. The gardens, like the castle are on a grand scale, taking in nearly 12 acres. This allows the race to make a big loop of the gardens with a quick downhill stretch followed by a sharp climb before the race rejoins it's outgoing path for the final 1.5KM of the race. The final 1100M from the gate of the Castle grounds to the finish is as the first - fast and flat and allows for a great finish passing the GAA grounds with finish line just outside the local Fire Station.
One of the show pieces of the race landscape is Tullynally Castle. The name Tullynally is an adaption of 'Tulaigh an Eallaigh' – the Hill of the Swan. The hill overlooks Lough Derravaragh, the legendary lake of the Children of Lir who were turned into swans. Tullynally Castle is still a family home to this day. This year over 450 participants took part in the race. This represented another great attendance. Last year's Castlepollard 5KM set the bar very high for future races with a record participation of just under 470 on the night. The race in 2013 showed an increase of over 100 participants from the previous record of 366 set at the 2012 event. It goes without saying that the Castlepollard 5KM has become one of the "must do" road race events in the midlands. Everything that is good about club road racing in Ireland can be found here.

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. The Islamic holy books are the records which most of the Muslims believe were dictated by God to various prophets. They are the Suhuf Ibrahim (commonly the Scrolls of Abraham), the Tawrat (Torah), the Zabur (commonly the Psalms), the Injil (commonly the Gospel), and the Qur'an.
The words Taurat and Injil are not books, and are mentioned several times in the Qur'an itself. For example following ayat has these words with Kitab, meaning book:
He has sent down upon thee the Book with the truth, confirming what was before it, and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel aforetime, as guidance to the people, and He sent down the Salvation.(Qur'an 3:3-4 Arthur Arberry translation)
He has revealed to you the Book with truth, verifying that which is before it, and He revealed the Tavrat and the Injeel aforetime, a guidance for the people, and He sent the Furqan. (Qur'an 3:3-4 Shakir translation)

The Qur'an does not say that additional holy books were sent to other prophets, but one book with all prophets is mentioned in Quran, For example.: Mankind was one single nation, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; (Qur'an 2:213)

It is not standard Islamic belief, but most of the muslims believe that all holy scriptures except the Qur'an have been altered from their original forms over time.[citation needed] The Qur'an mentions other prophets or messengers like Ibraheem (Abraham), Is'haq (Isaac), Isma'il (Ishmael), Lot, Yaqoob (Jacob), Joseph, Job, Dawud (David), Sulayman (Solomon), Musa (Moses), Harun (Aaron), Yunus (Jonah), Elisha, Zakariya (Zachariah), John and Isa (Jesus) and all prophets got one Al-kitab, 6:83-90.[citation needed]

Muslims believe in progressive revelation, that the revelation of God (Arabic: Allah) evolved with time and different groups of people. Thus, the Qur'an specified that the Injil abrogated the Tawrat and the Qur'an abrogated all the other books[citation needed]. . (It is silent in regard to the Zabur, but Muslims infer that the Zabur was abrogated by a successive revelation.[citation needed]. )
As an example, while the Qur'an acknowledges that the Torah prohibited working on the Sabbath, the Qur'an allows working and overrules it. In Muhammad's earlier years it was revealed to him, "O People of the Book! Ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Torah, (and) the Gospel." Qur'an Surah 5.68. It was believed that their conversion to Islam would begin by devoutly following the earlier holy books.

Comparison of the Qur'an with the texts of the other holy books shows obvious disagreements: The Gospel (the Injil) disagrees with the Qur'an on whether Jesus is the Son of God and God incarnate, whether he died, and whether he is the way to the salvation of the soul. All three books are written from a human perspective while the Qur'an says they were revealed from God's perspective. Modern historians debate and question the divine inspiration of all these books including the Quran. Believers of the three monotheistic religions believe that for each of them God is the inspiration behind the holy books.
The first known Muslim to recognize this was Ibn Hazm, vizier of Spain and writer against Christians. He concluded that because they were in disagreement, the Bible (containing the Torah, Zabur, and Injil) must be wrong. However, knowing that the Qur'an states "believe in what hath been revealed to thee and what (scripture) was revealed before thee (the Torah and the Injil)," Qur'an Surah 4.162, he concluded, "Therefore, the present text must have been falsified by the Christians after the time of Muhammad."
Some scholars, such as Al-Ghazzali (?–1111 CE), disagreed. Ibn Kathir (1301–1372) wrote that the Jews did not alter the Torah, only their interpretation of the Torah:
The phrase "[they] displace words from (their) right places" means that they misinterpret them and understand them in a way that God did not intend, doing this deliberately and inventing lies against God.
For Muslims, in Deuteronomy 31:24-30 Moses predicted the corruption of the commandments by his own people after his death labeling them as stiff-necked and rebellious due to the horrible acts they committed during Moses' absence to meet God on Mount Sinai. This interpretation is not accepted by Christians or Jews. In other places Jesus condemned the act of the scribes and the Pharisees and accused them of hypocrisy and moral illnesses (see Luke 12:52, Luke 21:46-47.)
However, in the following 200 years, most scholars came to agree with Ibn Khazem, but they pushed the date of change earlier, before the time of Muhammad. Paul and Constantine were often blamed. In more modern times, the belief in such conspiracy has been downplayed and replaced with the idea that corruption came through many small changes by many copyists in the second and third centuries for the Injil. For Muslims, the changing of the Torah and Zabur was moved back to before the birth of Christianity and the earliest manuscripts known today. Currently, among Muslims, the alteration of the holy books is a virtually undisputed belief.
الكتب السماوية هي الكتب التي انزلها الله على أنبيائه ورسله(حسب الاعتقاد الاسلامي)، قال الله : {إِنَّا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ كَمَا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى نُوحٍ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ مِن بَعْدِهِ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالأَسْبَاطِ وَعِيسَى وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُونُسَ وَهَارُونَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُوراً }[النساء : 163]
والكتب كما وردت في القرآن هي:
أولاً : الصحف (حسب الاعتقاد الاسلامي)( صحف إبراهيم و موسى ) : و لا يوجد لهذه الصحف أي مرجع سوى القرآن؛ قال القران:{ صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَى }[الأعلى : 19]
ثانياً : الزبور (حسب الاعتقاد الاسلامي)، قال القران : {.. وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُوراً} [النساء : 163] .
ثالثاً : التوراة : التوراة(حسب الاعتقاد الاسلامي) هي الكتاب الذي أنزله الله على موسى والتوراة كتاب عظيم اشتمل على النور والهداية كما قال القران : [إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالأَحْبَارُ بِمَا اسْتُحْفِظُوا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ](المائدة: 44). وقال القران : [ثُمَّ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ تَمَاماً عَلَى الَّذِي أَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيلاً لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَعَلَّهُمْ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ] (الأنعام: 154). وكثيراً ما يقرن الله في القرآن بين التوراة والقرآن؛ وذلك لأنهما أفضل كتابين أنزلهما الله على خلقه. هذه باختصار هي حقيقة التوراة التي أنزلت على موسى . التوراة الموجودة اليوم : أما التوراة الموجودة اليوم فهي ما يطلق على الشريعة المكتوبة، كما يطلق لفظ (التلمود) على الشريعة الشفهية. والتوراة الموجودة اليوم تشتمل على خمسة أسفار وهي: 1 - سفر التكوين: ويتحدث هذا السفر عن خلق العالم، وظهور الإنسان، وطوفان نوح، وولادة إبراهيم إلى موت يوسف . 2 - سفر الخروج: ويتحدث عن حياة بني إسرائيل في مصر، منذ أيام يعقوب إلى خروجهم إلى أرض كنعان مع موسى ويوشع بن نون. 3 - سفر اللاويين: نسبة إلى لاوي بن يعقوب، وفي هذا السفر حديث عن الطهارة، والنجاسة، وتقديم الذبائح، والنذر، وتعظيم هارون وبنيه. 4 - سفر العدد: يحصي قبائل بني إسرائيل منذ يعقوب، وأفرادَهم ومواشيهم. 5 - سفر التثنية: وفيه أحكام، وعبادات، وسياسة، واجتماع، واقتصاد، وثلاثة خطابات لموسى .
رابعاً: الإنجيل(حسب الاعتقاد الاسلامي) :
هو الكتاب الذي أنزله الله على المسيح متمماً للتوراة، ومؤيداً لها، وموافقاً لها في أكثر الأمور الشرعية، يهدي إلى الصراط المستقيم، ويبين الحق من الباطل، ويدعو إلى عبادة الله وحده دون من سواه. هذا هو الإنجيل الذي أنزل على المسيح.
الإنجيل (حسب الاعتقاد المسيحي) : الكتاب المقدس لدى المسيحيين يشمل التوراة والأناجيل، ورسائل الرسل. وتسمى التوراة العهد القديم، وتسمى الأناجيل، ورسائل الرسل العهد الجديد. والاناجيل اربعة وهم
1- إنجيل يوحنَّا. 2- إنجيل مرقُس. 3- إنجيل مَتَّى. 4- إنجيل لُوقا. 4
خامساً : القرآن :
القرآن كلام الله(حسب الاعتقاد الاسلامي) ، منه بدأ وإليه يَعود ، تكلّم به ربنا على الحقيقة وأنزله على نبينا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم خاتم الأنبياء والمرسلين وحيًا، وصدَّقه المؤمنون على ذلك حقا، وأيقنوا أنه كلام الله .
وقد سَمّى الله القرآن ( كلام الله ) فقال : ( وَإِنْ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ اسْتَجَارَكَ فَأَجِرْهُ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ كَلامَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ أَبْلِغْهُ مَأْمَنَهُ ) [التوبة : 6].
وأخبر أنه أنزل القرآن ، وأنه نزّله تنْزِيلا ، فمن ذلك قوله القران : ( وَقُرْآَنًا فَرَقْنَاهُ لِتَقْرَأَهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ عَلَى مُكْثٍ وَنَزَّلْنَاهُ تَنْزِيلاً ) [الإسراء : 106].
والقرآن هو (حسب الاعتقاد الاسلامي)آخر الكتب السماوية وهو خاتمها، وهو أطولها، وأشملها، وهو الحاكم عليها. قال الله : [وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقاً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِناً عَلَيْهِ] (المائدة: 48). وقال : [وَمَا كَانَ هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ أَنْ يُفْتَرَى مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنْ تَصْدِيقَ الَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ الْكِتَابِ لا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ] (يونس: 37). وقال: [مَا كَانَ حَدِيثاً يُفْتَرَى وَلَكِنْ تَصْدِيقَ الَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ] (يوسف: 111). قال أهل التفسير في قوله تعالى [وَمُهَيْمِناً عَلَيْهِ]: مهيمناً وشاهداً على ما قبله من الكتب، ومصدقاً لها؛ يعني يصدق ما فيها من الصحيح، وينفي ما وقع فيها من تحريف، وتبديل، وتغيير، ويحكم عليها بالنسخ أو التقرير. ولهذا يخضع له كل متمسك بالكتب المتقدمة ممن لم ينقلب على عقبيه كما قال تبارك وتعالى : [الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمْ الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ هُمْ بِهِ يُؤْمِنُونَ (52) وَإِذَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِهِ إِنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مُسْلِمِينَ](القصص:52 ، 53 ). فالقرآن هو رسالة الله لجميع الخلق، وقد تكفل سبحانه [إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ] (الحجر: 9). ولا يقبل الله من أحد ديناً إلا ما جاء في هذا القرآن (حسب الاعتقاد الاسلامي). قال الشيخ ابن سعدي في قوله : [وَمُهَيْمِناً عَلَيْهِ] : أي مشتملاً على ما اشتملت عليه الكتب السابقة وزيادة في المطالب الإلهية، والأخلاق النفسية؛ فهو الكتاب الذي يتبع كل حق جاءت به الكتب، فأمر به، وحث عليه، وأكثر من الطرق الموصلة إليه. وهو الكتاب الذي فيه نبأ السابقين واللاحقين، وهو الكتاب الذي فيه الحكم والحكمة، والأحكام الذي عرضت عليه الكتب السابقة، فما شهد له بالصدق فهو المقبول، وما شهد له بالرد فهو مردود قد دخله التحريف والتبديل، وإلا لو كان من عند الله لم يخالفه .

ويطلق القرآن على هذه الكتب لفظ الزبور كما ورد ذلك في القرآن:
{وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ }الأنبياء105

Les livres sacrés de l'islam.
La croyance musulmane tient pour sacré un certain nombre de livres. Ces livres sont issus, pour cette religion, d'un livre commun, appelé La Mère des livres'. De ce livre divin sont tirés les livres du monothéisme et seule une partie est communiquée aux hommes. Le Coran est l'un de ces livres, mais aussi les feuillets d'Abraham, le Pentateuque, appelé Tawrat, les écrits de Salomon et/ou David (appelé Zabur) et l'Injil.
Face aux différences entre le Coran et les autres livres sacrés, le consensus islamique veut que les écrits dont nous avons connaissance aujourd'hui ont été altérés de leur forme originelle. Il est fait allusion à ces modifications en plusieurs passage du Coran.

The is a photograph from the third running of the Athlone Flatline Half Marathon ("The Flatline") which was held at Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Saturday 13th September 2014 at 11:00. There was beautiful weather for the event which started and finished at St. Aloysius College near the Canal Banks area of the town just slightly west of the River Shannon. This event was professionally organised and the very flat course meant that many runners both seasoned and new to the scene achieved season or personal bests. Almost 1,000 participants successfully completed the event in the beautiful September sunshine. Everyone involved must be congratulated for the flawless running of the event. This event is sure to go from strength to strength over the coming years. The event has grown from just over 600 in 2012, to over 900 in 2013 with around the same number finishing in 2014. Entry to the race closed weeks in advance.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: Such is the popularity of the race this year that registration closed for the race in mid-August 2013. There were well over 850 participants who took to the start line.
Weather: The weather on the day was almost too warm for running which is a very rare complaint in Ireland. The runners were bathed in hot September sunshine for the duration of the race and into the early afternoon. In the sections of the race out towards Clonown and around the Bord na Mona areas there was a cooling.
Course: "The Flatline" ceratinly lived up to its name. It is as flat a course as one is likely to find. A garmin connect gps trace of the route is provided here [connect.garmin.com/activity/199678412] Geographically the course spends much of the race in County Roscommon with only the first and last kilometers actually in County Westmeath. This gives geographically inclined runners the novel opportunity to race in two Irish provinces in one race. The course had distance markers at every kilometre and mile along the way. There were official pacers provided by the race organisers.

Refreshments: An Alkohol Frei bottle of Erdinger was provided to every finisher as they crossed the line. Light refreshments were served.

But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

On July 5, 2008, Madame Tussauds opened at the historic location 'Unter den Linden', just a few meters away from the Brandenburg Gate. Madame Tussauds Berlin offers a mix of interactivity, reference to the region and history you can touch. There is also a "behind the scenes" area, which shows the time and effort that goes into creating a wax figure - from private meetings with celebrities for precise body measurements, known as "sitting", to the final wardrobe check.
To this day, Madame Tussauds continues to grow and combines its tradition and history with the glamor of international stars of the 21st century. The company now has more than 20 locations worldwide, including London, New York, Las Vegas, Shanghai, Washington DC, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Vienna, LA and Amsterdam. The is a photograph from the 13th running of the Fields of Athenry 10KM took place on St. Stephen's Day, December 26th 2014 at 11:00 in Athenry, Co. Galway, Ireland. Just under 1,200 participants finished the race today under the Medieval Arch in the town. The weather was certainly not for the faint hearted. With temperatures of about 3C and a biting wind mixed with rain participants had to endure a very very cold race day morning. Heavy rain during the previous night had seen some flooding on the road between 6KM and 9KM. Regardless of this, as always, The Fields of Athenry Road Race rose to the challenge.
This is one of the leading 10KM road races in Ireland. It is hard to believe that the race is "only" thirteen years old. It's superb organisation, atmosphere, and great race history gives it the characteristic of a race that is many years older. The credit for this goes to the wonderful athletics club in Athenry AC and the Race Director for 2014 Frank Burke and his team of volunteers. The attention to every detail in the race which this year attracted over 1,200 participants means that the race has earned it's stripes as one of the leading road races in Ireland. This year the race coupled with Athenry Tidy Towns Committee. A contribution from the proceeds from this year's race will be made to support the work of the Tidy Town Committee.
The race started at the Railway station and then took in a loop of the famous fields of Athenry where it turns left and begins it's return to the town, passing the soccer club, over the railway lines, and finishing under the medival arch in Athenry town for a fittingly atmospheric finish to the race. Race HQ is in the Presentation College in Athenry. Post race showers, prize giving ceremony, and refreshments were provided in the College after the race.

This is a photograph from the Tullamore Harriers AC "Quinlan Cup" Half Marathon was held on Saturday 30th August 2014 in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Ireland at 12:00. This is the second year of the event. Last year, 2013, the event commemorated the 60th Anniversary of the formation of Tullamore Harriers AC which today is one of Ireland's best known athletics clubs. The race was perfectly organised. There were stewarts all along the route, 3 drink stations with bottled water, superb facilities, and great after-race refreshments. The stewards along the route provided great encouragement to all of the runners. Tullamore Harriers and the local community really worked together to make this is a wonderful event. There was also a relay option where teams of two can run approximately 10.5km each. In total 568 participants completed the race which is almost 150 more than the 2013 event.

This photograph is one of a set of photographs from the Tullamore Harriers Half Marathon 2014. This set of photographs includes photographs of the start and then photographs of the finish up to the 2 HOUR finishing time.
As mentioned above last year this race marathon race celebrated the 60th Anniversary (a Diamond Anniversary) of the foundation of Tullamore Harriers AC. The club was formed in the town in November 1953. However, it was almost 1979 before facilities close to what we see today open in the present day site. Over 50 provincial and national athletics meetings are held at Tullamore Harriers every year. The facilities available combined with it's central geographical location joining routes from North, South, East, and West make it a very attractive venue. The half marathon today firmly brings competitive national road racing back to "The Harriers". In the past there was the famous Quinnlan Cup
Festival of Races (see a link below for some nostalgia) which was one of Ireland's Blue Ribband events with some very famous names of the past lining out for that four mile race. Today, the facilities at Tullamore Harriers are the envy of many athletics clubs in Ireland. The facilities provided by Tullamore make it one of the premier venues for local and national level athletics in Ireland. There is an Olympic standard tartan track, a fully equipped gym, changing facilities, press and media facilities, meeting room spaces, etc. The club also provides a social center and niteclub which makes "The Harriers" a very well known on the local social scene. Esssentially, the town of Tullamore would be a different place if it weren't for the presence of Tullamore Harriers AC.
Overall Race Summary
Participants: There was 568 participants of runners, joggers, and walkers.
Weather: The midday start seen warm pleasant conditions for running. The layout of the course meant that there was a stiff breeze into the face of competitors for the first few miles up to mile 6. When the race turned around to return to Tullamore the wind was somewhat more favourable to runners.
Course: The race starts on the Charleville Road just outside the entrance to Tullamore Harriers. The race proceeds south along the R421 and onto the N52 before taking a route onto local back roads. The race then completes a large rural road route before it joins to the R421 again and the final 1.5 miles are the same as the first mile of the race. The runners enter tullamore stadium and complete one lap of the tartan track before the finish line. The course is challenging in places with some undulations along the route. But overall it is fair course.

Refreshments: There was a very impressive selection of refreshments including sandwiches, cakes, home-made breads, etc in the Harriers clubhouse afterwards. People were able to enjoy their post race refreshments outside in the warm pleasant sunshine.

You can download the photographic image here direct to your computer or device. This version is the low resolution web-quality image. How to download will vary slight from device to device and from browser to browser. However - look for a symbol with three dots 'ooo' or the link to 'View/Download' all sizes. When you click on either of these you will be presented with the option to download the image. Remember just doing a right-click and "save target as" will not work on Flickr.

If you just need these photographs for online usage then they can be used directly once you respect their Creative Commons license and provide a link back to our Flickr set if you use them. The explaination is very simple.
Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

The Scroll of Isildur was a scroll made by Isildur himself during his short time in Minas Tirith after the War of the Last Alliance between T.A. 1 and 2. The scroll held Isildur's account of the gaining of the Ring from Sauron and described the appearance of an inscription around the Ring while it was still hot. The Scroll was stored for millennia in the vaults of that city. Gandalf started to believe that Bilbo Baggins' Magic Ring was the One. In T.A. 3017 he visited Minas Tirith and studied the scroll. Isildur's description was vital in helping Gandalf identify the Ring. He visited Frodo Baggins in Bag End and testing his ring in the fireplace, confirmed it as the One Ring of Sauron.
