Could it be? This project has progressed to the point where I can start painting it?
I will almost be sad when I'm done fiddling with this thing. Hopefully I don't screw it up with the airbrush.
Scratchbuilt hoverbike, made from household junk and white DAS clay. 1/20 scale, kind of Maschinen Kreiger.
Scratchbuilt Thrall coal gon. For Sale sign: $1.29. Trucks and couplers: salvage from another car. Paint: rattle cans. Mistakes: PRICELESS!!
Removed the baffles from the engine bay since I haven't seen any pictures of trucks with them fitted.
I also started adding some plumbing and details to the oil reservoirs. Unfortunately the filters on the left, while about the right size, are in the way of the mudflap. I can either remove them or cut the whole box off the frame and move it up.
The (messy) scribed line between the hydraulic and brake oil tanks may have to go, it should really be a proud bead.
My rough scratchbuild based on Makoto Kobayashi's "C-Eyes". Note this is not intended to be a replica as I am not using any of the correct donor kits.
The turret is turned to the right and the gun barrels are aimed at about a 35° angle.

Lego Star Wars Space Tug with Barge and Payload
After presenting you first my Space Tug inspired by a scratchbuild by Adam Alpern aka @monsterpartywars, and my Front Loader, this is the final MOC with Barge and Payload!
As always, my MOCs cannot be small 😭, so one thing lead to another, and I ended up adding the Lego UCS AT-AT as payload.
The whole ship is made by the SoroSuub Corporation from Sullust. Again, this one is fictitious and non Canon.
Go and check out Adam's designs here on Flickr or on Instagram. His models in 1:144 scale are amazing!
Measurements
Length: 81.5 cm / 32.1 inch
Width: 24.0 cm / 9.4 inch
Height: 26.5 cm / 10.4 inch
Or:
Length: 102 studs
Width: 30 studs
Height: 33 studs
SHIPtember 2023
BTW - I just noticed, these 102 studs qualifies it to be part of SHIPtember 🎉, so I will be adding this to the group in a minute.
Wishing you all a great weekend 👍!

Work in progress.. I'm surprised AMT/ERTL hasn't produced one of these. This is based on the "Dukes of Hazzard" CJ5 (which is incorrectly labeled as a CJ-7 on the box).
The top is going to be scratchbuilt using the clear plastic soft-top included in the kit, with styrene. I'm not sure yet what truck bed I will use or if I will just completely scratchbuild a new one. Obviously the chassis will be stretched properly. Should be interesting either way.

Shout outs:
First and foremost, Ron McPhatty for the instructions 🙏. He has put a lot of time in not only the instructions itself, but also to optimize the build, as to make it affordable.
Of course, a shout out to @benjamin_last who did the original artwork, and to @monsterpartywars who did some digital sketches for his amazing scratch build 1/144 models.
Love to hear what you think 👍

Making some progress on my 1/285th scale USS Wasp LHD-1. The Superstructure is nearly done. Model is 100% scratchbuilt.

I made the roof out of a sign, and the steel walls out of Reynolds heavy duty aluminum foil. Glued to a piece of 4" PVC. Got ahold of some little dies that make the foil corrugated. Still need to work on this technique and paint the roof, install ladders, etc.
Ma.k scratchbuild inspired by Kow Yokoyama's Sandstalker Sf3D/Maschinen Kreiger tank.Made using a plastic salad bowl, coated in terracotta DAS clay and detailed with various bits and peices, then sealed, undercoated and painted with emulsion tester pots before weathering with artists tube watercolours and kids hardblock water soluable paints.
Added bearings for the suspension mounts and tow hooks.
Made a start on the engine bearers too but they need more doing.
I need to find where I've hidden my etched saws as slitting the suspension mounts will make them much better - more like three interlocking pieces than one solid chunk.
One of the best things about working with plasticard is that if something doesn't go quite right you've only wasted a few pence worth of the material. Prototype cab 2 on the left could even be recycled into a scrapped part behind the engine shed!
Not 100% accurate (and no bananas!) but a good basis for development. The stems need to be thicker, that's the most obvious problem I think.

Junk Tank Rock style 1/20 scratchbult wheeled bot made from a spherical promotional chewing gum packet, toy parts, staplers and other greeblies. The model was painted and weathered using emulsion tester pots and the base is premixed decorators plaster filler sprayed with decorative snow ( the canned stuff people spray on their windows at Christmas) which was then fixed with spray varnish.
I started this a month ago or so (October 2006), its mostly 1/24 car rims and wheels cut down, sanded, and stacked. The 'box' is a couple LEGO blocks glued, puttied and sanded to blend as one single unit.
DAS clay sculpture of a sci fi warrior, started as a head sculpt study that got a bit bigger. Basic armature is aluminium foil over wire, with the gun made from a oven/BBQ lighter
