The end of the fertilizer spur has a loading dock the locals call the "bean dock". This is where large bulk bags of edible beans are transloaded from truck to boxcar for distribution all over the country and even to ports for overseas shipment.
Here you can see the interior of the nose (main body half). The body was first based off the Ghostbusters rear end, then is was chopped to bits recreating the correct shape. Before it is completely glued to the chassis I will add supporting rods all across the interior to keep it from flexing in the future.
You can also see I have cut out a floor panel in the chassis to access the inside of the body when it is sealed. I did this to hopefully include batteries for LED lights or other addons.
I decided to change the interior color to a tan instead of black. It was too dark and you couldn't see any details; now the rollbar will be visible, along with the added accessories. Right now the interior is much too bright and clean.. See the pastel chalks I grinded into powder and stored in the clear containers? Those are for weathering everything for a much more realistic tone.

Ma.k scratchbuild inspired by Kow Yokoyama's Sandstalker Sf3D/Maschinen Kreiger tank.Made using a plastic salad bowl, coated in terracotta DAS clay and detailed with various bits and peices, then sealed, undercoated and painted with emulsion tester pots before weathering with artists tube watercolours and kids hardblock water soluable paints.

Added some conspicuous pipework on the left side of the frame from stretched sprue. I think they might be grease lines as they're narrow and metal, but I don't really know.
Also added some misc piping behind the oil tanks, the oil filter filler to the right, and a basic representation of the sight glasses. I'll drill these out when dry to represent the glass bits.

In its primed state, minus the 1/72 Flak and driver/pilot. Sorry for the poor quality, I used my phone as the real camera was downstairs and I was too lazy to go get it.
My first attempt at scratching something. I took some "For Sale" and "Garage Sale" signs from Menard's and tried turning them into something. The elevator leg for moving fertilizer in and out is in the mail, hope to get it in place next weekend.

Work in progress.. I'm surprised AMT/ERTL hasn't produced one of these. This is based on the "Dukes of Hazzard" CJ5 (which is incorrectly labeled as a CJ-7 on the box).
The top is going to be scratchbuilt using the clear plastic soft-top included in the kit, with styrene. I'm not sure yet what truck bed I will use or if I will just completely scratchbuild a new one. Obviously the chassis will be stretched properly. Should be interesting either way.
I started this a month ago or so (October 2006), its got a ways to go, but getting there. I was shooting for 1/35 scale to match most of my other models/projects. One of my objectives for the next one I build is to wire some small red LEDs that glow and fade like in the SW movies. Seen here primed in gray.
Scratchbuilt hoverbike, made from household junk and white DAS clay. 1/20 scale, kind of Maschinen Kreiger.

The final iteration 😀!
Lego Star Wars Space Tug with Barge and Payload
After presenting you first my Space Tug inspired by a scratchbuild by Adam Alpern aka @monsterpartywars, and my Front Loader, this is the final MOC with Barge and Payload!
As always, my MOCs cannot be small 😭, so one thing lead to another, and I ended up adding the Lego UCS AT-AT as payload.
The whole ship is made by the SoroSuub Corporation from Sullust. Again, this one is fictitious and non Canon.
Go and check out Adam's designs here on Flickr or on Instagram. His models in 1:144 scale are amazing!

Wishing you all a great weekend 👍!
Imagine yourself in a hotel room. You have investigated the entire internet. It took 15 years but you did it. Now how will you pass the evening? How about getting out the tool kit and cutting up some coffee stirrers and plastic signs?
Maschinen Kreiger inspired scratchbuilt ship made from various "junk" and DAS clay. Undercoated with automotive grey primer with a UK berlin "style" camo applied using sponged on emulsion tester pot paint, weathered with artists water colours, emulsion paints and physical wear to expose the undercoat
A little more progress on the Gills Landing bridge. The bents are all finished but not in place. I am now making the fenders that were on both the upstream and downstream sides of the bridge. I need to decide how to supply track power to the swing span if I want it to open and close, then I will lay the track, guard rails, and bridge tenders walkway.
