Continuing playing with the scanner and (hopefully) moving beyond the photocopying your arse on the office photocopier stage!
I quite enjoyed exploring the "art" of the selfie on the scanner. I don't do many selfies and they are usually not very flattering when I do...today being no different.
If you are quick enough you can scan your head twice as the light source moves slowly across the bed. Covering the scanner bed with cling film helps protect the scanner bed but also gives this interesting texture.
Blinking gives an interesting effect which you can see on the featured image.

So don't throw that old scanner away.

Gosh, I am so obsessed with scanography now.
It's the first day of October! I didn't even notice until earlier today when dating one of my assignments at school. I can't believe it is already Autumn! I want it to be summer again! For some reason, it feels like summer almost was never here. I think it's because school has started again and I'm back in the swing of things, which makes summer seem so minor...
Today was very, very cold and it is 59 degrees out right now. For the weather we have been having lately, that is freezing. On top of all the coldness, I was so tired today. I could barely keep my eyes open! Also, I think I'm getting sick, which sucks. All I want is to be on some tropical beach somewhere enjoying the sun and warmth, without anymore school, or work, forever. Is that too much to ask for?! ...Probably.
On another note - As I think i have mentioned before, I am really considering a student exchange program. France is probably my number one choice because I've always wanted to go there. It really speaks to me and I think I would thoroughly enjoy staying there a year, or even living there in the future! You never know. I am, however, still exploring my options and wanted some input from you guys. Where do YOU think I should go? I live in the U.S now and want to go somewhere far away. Somewhere that would be exciting, and much different from life here. Any suggestions? I'm also considering somewhere in Italy.
So today I discovered the wonderful art of scanography! I had always wandered how people took photo's like this! I figured they must use a glass table and put the camera under it.... Now I feel a little dumb...
I will admit, it did feel a little strange putting my face in the printer and scanning it though! I was hoping to god no one would walk in while I was doing this because I am positive I would have looked ridiculous! Luckily for me, no one did, though my brother came verrryyy close to it! But anyway, here is my first scanography photograph EVER! I will most definitely be making more of these in the future.
I was going to upload this tomorrow but I couldn't wait!!! It made me excited. :)
