yes another scanography , painted all that on the scanner glass with fingers , used a white paper for white background...

+1 in comments.

Looked at the photo? Now look again but more carefully.

Did these scans earlier after a couple of days of no photos. I went plane spotting at the airport with my bro on Friday cos.. well planes are cool and he loves them at the moment. By the time we got home, I was super tired so just ate, sat a teeny bit then went to sleep. And yesterday we went to see Karate Kid then came home and I had to look after my bro till quite late cos my mum wasnt in.

I bought these a little while back after a conversation with a blood test guy inspired me. It was funny where I got them cos I had just come from having my blood taken so I had a plaster on and the lady was just staring at me like I was a junkie. The convo went:

me: can I have syringes or needles or whatever they're called

lady: ... *stares wearily* which kind ... *still staring*

me: erm, I dont know, a cheap one

lady: *still staring oddly* what do you need to use them for?

me: oh I'm not actually going to use them, it's for a photo

lady: *even more confused and suspicious of me being a junkie* ... o.. k...

then she gave them to me but still stared at me all the way out the store. When she went to get them from the back, she even asked for a second opinion from the other worker about me! Soo odd.

You guys are probably going to get sick of these. . . but I can't help it. Finally something new to be creative with. I just gotta go with it. haha I haven't done anything with blood in a really really long time so I thought I'd get some in here, things have been too pretty lately. hahaha Got this done super early, before I have even gone to bed, but you know what, it's on the right day, So I don't care :P If you don't like it, bite me, or I'll bite you.

Day 38: A picture of what disney character you would like to be.

Random Fact: 9.Vampire legends may have been based on Vlad of Walachia, also known as Vlad the Impaler (c. 1431-1476). He had a habit of nailing hats to people’s heads, skinning them alive, and impaling them on upright stakes. He also liked to dip bread into the blood of his enemies and eat it. His name, Vlad, means son of the dragon or Dracula, who has been identified as the historical Dracula. Though Vlad the Impaler was murdered in 1476, his tomb is reported empty.

My first try at Scanography. It was really fun to experiment, so I want to try some more in the future.

With this image, I wanted to show not only a variety of textures, but also a contrast between life and death.

My favorite thing about this image? MY FISHBONE! It was actually from a fish I was eating about a month and a half ago. I was so surprised that it was so strong and perfect that I decided to keep it. I spent some time cleaning it out with a toothbrush and soap (and even some bleach to try to reduce the smell), and then put it out in the sun to dry. It still stinks like fish, but I love it! (I even have it in a safe box with bubblewrap lol)

I will certainly use it again! ;-P

Scanography.

I discovered my scanner today! I really like how it looks and I will definitely be experimenting with it more in the future.

Movement captured on the scanner & images blended in PS

Most of my scans were taken back in 2008 when I first discovered you could take pictures using a flatbed scanner.

I didn't need VueScan software to use my old Epson Perfection scanner then, but I do now.

VueScan software allows you to use scanners which are no longer supported. Hamrick have reverse engineered over 6500 scanners and have included built in drivers in VueScan so you can keep using the scanner you already have.

So don't throw that old scanner away.

Keep using it with Vuescan software and help save the planet.
