Summerland oil wells
In 1894, while digging for natural gas near his home, a resident struck oil. Thus began an oil boom that lasted into the 1930s. Oil is still produced from offshore wells off the coast of Summerland.

Scan results today. Rather too much growth since the last MRI a year ago. Not causing any problems yet, but he'll be moving from an annual to a 6-monthly scan to keep a close eye on where it goes. Ho hum.
This tiny camera clipped onto a 110 film cartridge, and I took it to Flensburg, Germany when I went to study there in February 1994.
