I really like working in 1/24th scale. I intend to make another small cottage to keep for myself!

Mrs. Schwartz is hoping to get a real china cabinet some day. However, until I can find or build one small enough for her living room, she is content with her display shelf.

Mrs.Schwartz was made by Nicky Cooper. The paintings are by Andrew Nicholls. The television is a Christmas decoration and will eventually have a photo added to the screen. I made the fireplace and the display shelf. The Christmas cactus I made from a kit.

Sanding,filling and second coat of paint is needed. But got the pattern,third time was the charm.

The skis were fun to make. It's the first time I tried bending wood with steam, and it worked perfectly! The shovel blade was made using the plastic blister pack from a set of batteries.

1/12th scale deli display includes various cheeses (all based on real cheese), deli meats, and breads. I made this vignette for the Ontario Miniatures Gathering to be held in Ottawa in April 2010.

I made everything except the knife, fork, and stool.

Being close to the water, some professional airline pilots consider LaGuardia Airport as a difficult place to land into as it has only two runways and is about the length of an aircraft carrier, which some say the experience of landing on it feels like. I think it is difficult because it has two big gaping holes at the start and end of the runway :)

doggie bowl was a total accident. yeah, the duckies are guarding an egg in it LOL. i was meaning to make a plate, but got too much clay out, and while fiddling with it came up with a doggie bowl shape! yay! forgot to make the doggie biscuits again though....XD

Mr. Henry Oakes is an elderly gentleman, a bit fussy and old-fashioned, and a fairly knowledgeable collector of fine porcelain and art. He is very fond of a wee tot in the evening (for medicinal purposes, of course). His favourite spot is his study, where he can often be found sitting in his chair, admiring his collection.

i don't like how the colours for the raspberry and raspberry/blackberry tart turned out. it was an experiment. the cherry tartlets on the right turned out pretty good IMO though. what do you think?
