Steve Miller presents the Commitment to Community Award to Jenifer Fox for her work with developing CPR training to the University of Washington Greek system. Jenifer's club has helped train more than 300 people in life-saving procedures.
The Heroes Breakfast honors the Red Cross' longstanding tradition of heroism by recognizing local individuals whose extraordinary acts of courage or kindness make them a hero. People in the Puget Sound area make a difference in the lives of others everyday. They show kindness and compassion, and give of themselves in unexpected and extraordinary ways.
This little one decided to investigate the church baptismal font this past Easter; her first church visit w/adoptive family (Africa). Luckily future son-in-law's quick thinking caught her before she actually went under, leaving them both water sopped!
Saving Lives and adoptions is what SOHS does 365 days a year. Over 1300 adoptions the past three years at www.sohumane.org and on average, 650 pets saved from euthanasia from partner shelters.
