Journal: PFC Gomez> 1944:
"~ Our mission was simple: resue two pilots who were shot down over German-occupied Normandy. We had already rescued one, who seemed to have taken his captors out without our help. As we approached the building holding the second pilot, we were ambushed, and forced to take risky actions. It seemed that they were ready for us. As we began to overtake the forces in the house, reinforcements were sent. A German private had a new weapon, one of which shot a deathly blast, killing a man in one shot. It seemed that complications were arrising...."

4th Wall Commentary:
-After seeing Tac's entry, I knew I had to do something better than my first. So I started this about a week ago. The main part was built in about 2 1/2 days, while I was awaiting on the panzerfaust, raygun, and ammo chain from Sgt. Tim as part of our trade. The weapons just added the last touch I was looking for.
-And YES, this is the set for the first part of my comic, which will appear after Christmas.
-This is my largest build to date: 44x28
Carliol House in Newcastle, the one time HQ building of NEEB (North East Electricity Board) is a listed structure. A new office complex for HMRC is being constructed on a large site which includes the former Carliol House. The facade has had to be retained as a part of the new building and is shored up with steelwork whilst construction is undertaken. Seen here on 23rd August 2023 overshadowing GNE 6150, LJ62 KCU, a Volvo B9TL with Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodywork.
As U.S. troops storm the beaches of Normandy, three brothers lie dead on the battlefield, with a fourth trapped behind enemy lines. Ranger captain Tom Hanks and seven men are tasked with penetrating German-held territory and bringing the boy home. Steven Spielberg and cinematographer Janusz Kaminski paint a harrowing picture of the price of war and heroism -- one that netted them Oscars for Best Director and Best Cinematography, respectively.

The wedding I photographed, shot with my Canon 40D and the gorgeous 70-200 EF lens I am saving up for :) .

I came across several shots that I realized I had uploaded to my Colonial Inn web gallery but not to here.
trying to save the bonsi
It has been rather ignored and neglected since my roommate left it here..... so I am taking pity on it and trying to save it by moving it to the kitchen where it has light and I will remember to spritz it w/ the water spray.
PS: 24 hrs later and it is doing so much better... the little spiney limbs are softening and greener. I am so happy and the Bonsi said this morning,
"thank you" with a smile....
I grinned real big and blew it a kiss!

Didn't want to upset this little fella after his bro has shot to superstar fame levels!
Open faced omelet with ham, chutney, and goat cheese. If your in Toronto and you are in the mood for brunch I highly recommend Saving Grace on Dundas. West. After an almost 4 mile walk I was famished. We arrived at 10am which was fortunate because we were at the front end of a large group of people with the same idea. The place had a total of about 10 tables with minimalist decor. The food make up for the decor in spades. The owner/wait staff is charming with a great smile and she informed us she also does the baking. I probably should have written down the dishes but hopefully the pictures will entice you to visit Saving Grace.
