LWF World Service started its operations in Burundi in 2006. In Cendajuru, near the border with Tanzania, LWF Burundi support cooperatives through various activities. In partnership with GNC and ELCA, LWF supports the creation of cooperatives, teaches them modern farming and storage technics. In addition, young people can diversify their income by developing micro-projects and saving groups. In 2021, LWF and its partners launched a project focusing on empowering and supporting women to claim their socio-economic rights. 20 women were selected by their peers to receive training on advocacy and women's social and economic rights. They now work with the community and the authorities to support households face their day-to-day difficulties. Three members of the group. Illuminating the facade of a power plant seems like a nice idea and looks interesting but how much electricity is wasted in the process? The plant is owned by the City of Tampere (Finland) and uses turf harvested from swaps as it's fuel.

The cemetery is featured in the beginning of Steven Spielberg's 1998 film Saving Private Ryan. A World War II veteran, accompanied by his family, makes his way to the grave of Captain John Miller (played by Tom Hanks) and segues into the movie's opening battle sequence, the D-Day landing at Omaha Beach. The grave does not actually exist; the headstone for Miller was only brought to the cemetery for the movie. The Captain John Miller portrayed in the movie never existed, but the Private Ryan story is based upon the story of the Niland Brothers, two of whom are buried in the cemetery.

Compact fluorescent bulbs save electricity affordably; I say affordably because they're more affordable to purchase than the even more electricity-saving LED bulbs.

Journal: PFC Gomez> 1944:
"~ Our mission was simple: resue two pilots who were shot down over German-occupied Normandy. We had already rescued one, who seemed to have taken his captors out without our help. As we approached the building holding the second pilot, we were ambushed, and forced to take risky actions. It seemed that they were ready for us. As we began to overtake the forces in the house, reinforcements were sent. A German private had a new weapon, one of which shot a deathly blast, killing a man in one shot. It seemed that complications were arrising...."

4th Wall Commentary:
-After seeing Tac's entry, I knew I had to do something better than my first. So I started this about a week ago. The main part was built in about 2 1/2 days, while I was awaiting on the panzerfaust, raygun, and ammo chain from Sgt. Tim as part of our trade. The weapons just added the last touch I was looking for.
-And YES, this is the set for the first part of my comic, which will appear after Christmas.
-This is my largest build to date: 44x28
