The church on the left of the collage is in Epsom, NH and was recently moved from about 1/2 mile away to preserve it.
The long drive home was tolerable largely due to the spectacular scenery including this beautiful sunset over the Appalachian Mountains.

On October 11, 2014, Patrick O'Connor from the Bay Area Seed Interchange Library led an Introduction to Seed Saving workshop at the Hayward Main Library.
Participants learned how to save seeds of common vegetables, including “wet seeds” like tomatoes. Patrick reviewed the advantages of growing locally adapted crops. Participants were encouraged to develop a habit of saving and contributing seeds to the Hayward Seed Lending Library to share with local gardeners.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Hayward Library. This workshop is presented as part of the Hayward Seed Lending Library program, which operates as a community seed exchange. “Check out” a variety of vegetable and flower seeds to plant in your personal garden. In return, consider harvesting some of the seeds from mature plants for your own use and for sharing with the Seed Lending Library.
