Jesus Saves sign from the Church of the Open Door in down town Los Angeles. The sign was moved here after the church was torn down because of earthquake damage.
This sewing box did belong to my grandmother. She had the whole world in there!! Needles, buttons, pins, all kind of things she might have needed. I like all the colors of the darning cotton, the buttons and all the other stuff she saved in there, and most of all I like the memory of my granny using this box!

Moochin into town yesterday and noticed the banner. You can just make out the workers that had put it in place. Little did i know that this was the start of a sit in protest to save the yard which faces closure. The administrators are due possibly this week. We cannot be losing the yard which is and inherent part of our history.
There is a call to nationalise the shipyard and in the absence of any government here, meaning we're effectively governed by Whitehall. So why not?
Of course with Boris running around the UK, dishing money out (apparently from a pot of £300m) whats to stop him helping out? If, and it's a big if, Boris had any sense, he might step in and do something about this. You can email him.... email.number10.gov.uk/ boris.johnson.mp@parliament.uk
My little family in an autumn vesture in our garden.
Lost count of how many packs I've shot with the wonderful 680, but here are some shots with colored frames from fall of 2020. What I like most about the varying colors is that I'm never entirely sure what frame will pop out next, so it's always a surprise how well it fits with the colors of the shot. Surprisingly, it works really well most times!
Taken with Polaroid SLR 680 analog camera. Polaroid Originals 600 instant film, slightly expired.
On our recent trip to Maine we found a fellow named Nathan Nicholls who does what he calls "Recycle Art". Nathan lives in the Waldoboro area and his property is full of metal sculptures, etc that he has created using various metal "junk" and a welder. I am always amazed by people who have the ability to take a lump of clay, an empty canvas or in this case, a pile of metal "junk" and create something appealing out of it. Nathan was very welcoming and we spent several hours taking photos of his works of art. Nathan's work can be found at 483 Breman Road, Waldoboro, Me. You can find him on Facebook: www.facebook.com/recyclesculptor
The "Save the Earth" spring guy is one of Nathan's simpler pieces and is one of several that I think he used to express some of his ideologies.
..I remember this car cruising up and down the street years ago... I took this tonight and it isn't a sepia shot..:-)
