A mass and rally marking the first anniversary of the fire that gutted the Shrine of Christ the King, 2015 S. Woodlawn Ave., took place in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago, Saturday, October 8, 2016.
This photostream aims to record and comment on the disruption and destruction caused by holding the 2012 Olympic equestrian events in Greenwich Park.
The photos in this stream are organised into sets by date or by topic, and make more sense if they are accessed that way. The main set is the Greenwich Park Diary 2011/12.
Background
I am part of a community action group called Nogoe, which campaigned to get the 2012 Olympic equestrian events moved from Greenwich Park to a more suitable venue.
Unfortunately that battle has been lost and the consequences are becoming all too clear. We will now aim to provide a permanent record of the damage and destruction, seek to ensure that it is properly reinstated, and campaign to keep the Park public. For further details, see our website: www.nogoe2012.com.

Should you wish to reproduce any of my photos, I can be contacted using flickr's internal mail system or via reply@nogoe2012.com. I am normally happy to give permission if it will help to publicise what has happened and is happening in the Park.
