Samples of sheep stool are mixed with water during a demonstration of a faecal egg test. The tests is designed to gauge resistance worming treatments with aim of minimising their use.
The samples of in the photos are as follows: Clockwise from top left:
1. Ilmenite
2. potassium ferrite/potassium titanate
3. titanium dioxide
4. titanium dioxide (in a more refined state).
The final sample (bottom left) is a sample of the waste product from the titanium dioxide refining process that is rich in rare earths.
