The Ed Samples, Osiecki Garage #90 on display at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame in Dawsonville, Georgia.
Just in case we didn't understand that this 12 inch tall tent was only a sample they made sure we knew.
Personally I was looking forward to stuffing my big self into it and was so surprised when I saw it wasn't the real deal. ;-)
A sample board I produced while exploring different techniques to produce different textures. The first is a tiered sample made of three different lamb nappas, cut with pinking shears with subtly contrasting leathers in each tier. The second sample is also a tiered texture sample but fringed to meet current trends. The third is a 3D sample, with straws sewn between two layers of leather to create individual 3D rows. The fourth sample shows a technique to contrast the underside of a leather, and while being a simple technique I feel its really appealing and it is my favourite sample from the board. The fifth sample shows decorative stitching, with sections cut out, contrasting the two colours starkly. This technique could be used to reproduce any shape, or even words and slogans. The sixth sample is an experiment with a much wider version of the pin tuck to see how effective this would be in costings and how much leather this technique consumes.
Amanda played Samples Cop on her last watch. She got to stand there with the clipboard, and tell everyone which bottle to fill with what sort of sample (oxygen, chlorophyll, phospate, carbon, nutrients...) from which Niskin.
This is another sample, I embroidered on to dissolvable fabric and this is the outcome when I washed away the fabric, this has then been glued on to a vinyl record.
