core samples at a copper mine - this copper mine somewhere in bc is currently shut down i am told but will fire up when the price of copper goes up. there was thousands of racks of core samples from the mine in various stages of returning to where it came from.

These are the sample socks photographed for the book. LOVED knitting with the yarn and the rib pattern was easy to memorize.
Soil scientist Gerson Drescher shows how difficult it becomes to collect proper soil samples too soon after harvest or under dry conditions.
