Yesterday I created these quick sample boards with scrap pieces from the commission I'm about to grout. I wanted to see how various colors of grout will look with this color combo. I love all of them.... and concur with myself about which to use :)

Sampling cassava varieties by Missouri Botanical Garden

Cassava varieties of the same Yanesha were systematically sampled in 1983–86 and in 1999, 15 years later. Here, the same woman is photographed in her cassava field during the first survey (inset photo) and second survey (larger outer photo), when she is noticeably 15 years older (Salick et al. 1997 and Salick 2012).

Project 2:2 - Decorative Scheme

Tutor's feedback:

This is an excellent start to this project. A very neatly presented board and it's great to see you experimenting with different methods of mounting your samples to create variety and interest. You have used colours and textures that relate back to Personal Style Board, proving that you are aiming to visually link PSB to the scheme.

You can be braver with samples that you are using, if you take a picture of this board in black and white , aside from the textured sofa fabric, all the other fabrics are plain. Whilst you have used the samples that are proportionate to what they represent, do be careful that they are not too large - the white wall paint sample dominates the board. The chandelier is a key accessory to this scheme so position it in the top center of the board.

I suppose my P6 only shoots shutter speed at 15 - 60 which is rather weird.

The exposure settings were the same on the other camera, PENTAX Super Program.

Spoonflower Sample - Overview

This is what came out of the spoonflower printing process. (See the input further up my stream. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/katharos/2584514843/]

The reality is slightly more saturated and darker than this looks on my monitor, but it isn't horribly off.

The size is a fat quarter. The small pattern squares are 3" on a side.

This is a sample board that was sent out to companies that wanted to see the range of colours and pieces available. I need to take another photo of this as it is blurred, but it says:

'Exanples of special components which can supplement your assortment. (Can be ordered separately - see price list)'
