Jer's friend Ellen noticed that our teeth were similar - even though she hadn't seen Jer in about 10 years.

We have a similar gap in our big front teeth and a crooked eye tooth - although you can see it better in Jer's broad smile.

Jer and I had noticed this too .... but it was fun to have it pointed out to me by a new friend.

The Island Garden City of Samal was created in 1998 through the merger of the municipalities of Samal, babak, and Kaputian. A short ferry ride away from Davao City, the island is renowned for its fine tropical beach resorts. This photo was taken from the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City.

HOTEL ADLON

Well, it took several months but the guest bathroom is done. I really like how it came out. Check out the notes for details. The entire renovation, which included new tile in not just the bathroom, but also the foyer and hall closet, cost approximately $600.

This is a rare sighting indeed. It's not often that a photograph is taken of the stinger sub, because it generally comes out only after 2am, and usually the people consuming it are too hungry to bother with pictures. Note that this one is actually only half of one, because I consumed the first half without even noticing, and I was probably having a conversation with my cousin about law school at the same time. Never know who you'll run into at the taco place after last call.

If you look a the last two pictures, it's like a timeline... First the beer tent... then Stamps, then Colosso.

Same place as in the previous photo, but looking along the path instead of downhill.

This is one of the first paths we put in - day after day of cutting through blackberry bushes, catbriar and honeysuckle in 100 degree heat. The we got two goats. Then 6 more and a cow.

In the past three years all we've done here is pick up a few sticks and enjoy walking along the paths.

Blister-packed model from Poland. No manufacturer but marked "Made in PRC", so most likely by the ubiquitous Universal Hobbies. A similar model appeared in the Altaya series of a few years ago "La Route Bleue". These were models of cars heading on holiday on the French autoroutes, each coming in a mini diorama case with figures, scenery etc. The Altaya Volvo had a very peculiar front end that did not look right at all - I think the same model now appears in the "Whitebox" range.
