It's always the same, when you want to take a picture there's a photographer in my way. Does that sound familiar to you?

Same tree, taken 2 days after those taken with the analog equipment and Fujichrome Velvia 50 film, processed from RAW based on what my memory told me (before I got the Velvia slides back).
Same POV as previous photo, just a different pose. Photo taken at Queens PArk Nature Centre, Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.
After the retaining wall collapsed some of the bulbs got moved around. This is one of the results of the mixing.
Same as those on previous picture but having more repetitions of the same pattern... Not as effective as flower tower, as here next level is less than half, thus it's eating more paper. Folded from 30 cm of kami. The last level I opted not to try to finish it completely as it wasn't enough precise for that. The finish on the center is the same as on violet doodle... :)
Same set up as the prior shot, but this time with my Nikkor 105mm macro lens. I think this lens gets closer to what Schoeller uses, even though I like the quality of the Zeiss better. I am also getting a sense of how he does post production on the images, bringing out micro contrast to emphasize the features of the face.
Two umbrellas with speedlights, angled near 90° right in front of my face. One speedlight on the background.
Same group that has been yard visiting doing well.

Same bridge different day. Artists, when creating a piece, often do a study which means you take an in-depth look at a given subject. Observing it and sketching it from different angles, in different lights, in order to unlock it's essence. The same can be done in photography. After dropping my girls at dance class I returned to the bridge I did my last selfie to do a further study of this location. Even though the camera angle is virtually the same there were plenty of differences to observe. ~ the weather was slightly overcast and threatening rain so the light was softer and less contrasty, the shadows not as strong. It's a month later and the landscape shows some changes, the trees being fuller with their new leaves of the season. Since I am in both shots it's a study of me as well. I am closer to the camera so I am a larger element in this composition. I like that my posture looks a little better here and both of my arms are showing. In the last shot one arm was hidden. I think carrying the umbrella here gives my walk more purpose. My shutter speed is slower showing some of the motion of my stride in a pleasant way. Observing these subtleties helps me hone my eye for aesthetics in images to see what I like and don't like and helps me improve as a photographer.
I may return again changing some other variables and see what else this location has to offer.

A perfect scene. No real soul.
The expensive table is quiet. The pizza table is alive.
Artificial intelligence can set the scene.
But it can’t invent real happiness.
