My dog always does this thing where he crawls under my bed, so, I took this as an opportunity to get my picture today.
Safe Harbour
Sandi Patty
This world of human heartache
Hurt all around
Who's gonna care for the broken ones?
They sail a sea of sadness
Sometimes alone
Where the wind and the waves overcome
They need a place
Where they can come in from the danger
Find a little shelter
Rest secure and warm
They need a safe, safe harbour
Haven in the midst of the storm
Where there's freedom to conquer
The questions and problems
And fears are lost in love
There's assurance and healing
And blessed believing
When they find the Lord is always enough
In a safe, safe harbour
Safe, safe harbour
Wishing all my friends, old and new, an enjoyable day and a safe and happy weekend! Be positive, and take some pictures! You really otter!
Speaking of otters, don't get a pet otter - the 2 otters at the Pittsburgh Zoo (there may be a third now, a baby) cost about US $40,000/year to feed. Only the best seafood for them! No wonder they're happy!
This little monkey was hiding behind a earth wall. He popped up his head to see whether the coast was clear.
Safe Haven is a memorial sculpture by Ian Wolter to the Kindertransport by which mainly Jewish chidren were brought safely out of Nazi Germany shortly before World War Two. It depicts children on their arrival in Harwich by ship from the Netherlands. The sculpture now stands by the Ha'penny Pier on Harwich Quay.

Young Red Deer Stag,
Bushy Park,
Hampton.
TAKEN - 9.05a.m. Fri 27th Nov'20
NOTE- 150 - 600mm LENS AND CROPPED.
Safety Advice from the Royal Parks- The deer in Richmond Park and Bushy Park are wild animals and can be unpredictable. Our parks are nature reserves and the herds of wild deer roam freely. Be aware of your surroundings, especially during the rutting season (September-November) and birthing season (May-July).
For your safety, please keep at least 50 metres away from the deer at all times and don’t touch, feed or attempt to photograph the deer at close range.
By feeding deer you are teaching them to approach humans for food which is dangerous for all visitors. Bushy and Richmond Parks provide ample natural food for the deer which is suited to their nutritional needs. Deer feed on grass, leaves and shoots of trees, and other woody plants. During autumn they feast on chestnuts and acorns too. Feeding deer is in breach of our park regulations and could result in a verbal or formal warning from the police, and even prosecution.
Safety advice for photographers
During the rutting season there is particular interest in the deer. During this time, photographers have been witnessed surrounding deer which can interfere with the course of nature and be very stressful for the deer.
Deer are wild animals and their space must be respected. Always keep a minimum of 50 metres away and use a long lens.
I tend to live a safe life...but that's not what I was created for! I shall sail into the deep waters...like trying to do a watercolor journal page when I'm not a good watercolor-er! LOL But hey...I'm giving everything a chance!!
