Church of st. Wojciech in Rusko is a typical example of sacral architecture with a frame structure with brick filling. The first church in Rusko was built at the end of 14th century.
The present skeleton church was built in 1833 on the site of an earlier wooden one from 1613. Later it was renovated and modernized many times, most recently, at the end of the 20th century, the wooden floor was replaced with marble slabs. The church has a rectangular nave, a separate presbytery equal to the width of the nave and a tower on the west side.
The church is surrounded by wooded and grassed grounds of the former cemetery. A Baroque statue of Blessed Virgin Mary from 1763 was placed on a high pedestal next to the church.
The entire facility is a monument on the list of National Heritage Institute and is a major tourist attraction.

Kościół pw. św. Wojciecha w Rusku jest typowym przykładem budownictwa sakralnego o konstrukcji szkieletowej z wypełnieniem ceglanym. Pierwszy kościół w Rusku powstał w końcu XIV wieku.
Obecny szkieletowy kościół zbudowano w roku 1833 na miejscu wcześniejszego drewnianego z roku 1613. Później był wielokrotnie odnawiany i modernizowany, ostatnio w końcu XX w. wymieniono drewnianą podłogę na płyty marmurowe. Kościół ma prostokątną nawę, wyodrębnione prezbiterium równe szerokości nawy i wieżę od strony zachodniej.
Kościół otoczony jest zadrzewionym i porośnięty trawą terenem dawnego cmentarza. Przy kościele na wysokim postumencie postawiono barokową figurę NMP z 1763 roku.
Całość tego obiektu stanowi zabytek na liście Narodowego Instytutu Dziedzictwa i jest dużą atrakcją turystyczną.

Kalkar is a municipality in the district of Kleve, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located near the Rhine, approx. 10 km south-east of Cleves. The most famous building of Kalkar is its church St. Nicolai, which has one of the most significant sacral inventory from the late Middle Ages in Europe or the Brick Gothic town hall build in 1446.
Kalkar was founded by Dirk VI of Cleves in 1230 and received city rights in 1242. It was one of the seven "capitals" of Cleves (called Kleve), until the line of the Duchy of Cleves died out in 1609, whereupon the city went over to the Margraviate of Brandenburg. Marie of Burgundy, Duchess of Cleves retired to Monreberg castle in Kalkar, where she founded a Dominican convent in 1455. Under her influence the city bloomed and artists were attracted to the favorable climate for cultural investment. She died at Monreberg castle in 1463.

When I was in Colombo (Sri Lanka) recently for a dental appointment, I was a bit short of T-shirts and quickly went to Odel (clothes shop) in the evening. Diagonally opposite is the Dawatagaha Jumma Mosque. I was taken by the beautiful evening light.
I enjoyed our visit to St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh quite a lot. Beautiful interiors, gorgeous lighting and the right mood for a forthcoming Advent concert.

Among the beautiful sacral sights we can undoubtedly include the Greek Catholic wooden Church of the Protection of the Holy Mother of God from 1770, which stands in the mountain village of Miroľa in the northeastern region of Slovakia.
It has a characteristic log structure and a three-part outer and inner division. The interior is decorated with iconostasis and altar. In the sanctuary, there is the icon of the archangel Michael and the icon of the Mother of God, Virgin Hodegetria with praise located. Liturgical objects are found in the anteroom that were revealed in the individual rebuildings of the temple. Especially the rare raincoat, probably from the 17th century, is worth noticing.
A special chapter is the rare books used in religious services in the Church-Slavic language. The temple has been repaired several times, most recently a complete reconstruction in 2005-2008 has been carried out. As well as with other wooden churches, even here stands a wooden entrance gate with a low shingled roof in front of the church.

The picture has been taken at Hofkirche, Dresden, Germany, built 1739 - 1755 in Baroque Style. Architect: Gaetano Chiaveri. It is a major Catholic Cathedral ((Sanctissimae Trinitatis)) built in a Evangelic City and it is the only of the main sacral buildings at Dresden, designed by an architect from abroad.

That wooden palace in "Kolomenskoye". The palace has been constructed in a XVII-th century, him named the eighth miracle of the world. But in 1767 the decision to disassemble it a masterpiece was accepted. The present structure represents a breadboard model of the Palace of Alexey Mihajlovicha full-scale. Building was conducted under the drawings made on command of Catherine II. However the new structure isn't completely wooden: all designs monolithic, ferro-concrete, covered then logs. Orientation concerning parts of the world also is broken — the breadboard model has been turned round a vertical axis on 90 degrees that has completely broken sacral sense of an initial structure. On September, 4th, 2010 Yury Luzhkov has opened the recreated palace.
The municipality of St. Corona am Wechsel is located in the southeast of Lower Austria in the political district of Neunkirchen. St. Corona has about 600 inhabitants and an area of 8.66 km². That tourist resort lies at the foot of the Kampstein (1467 m) at an altitude of 844 m above sea level.
The mild mountain climate and the crystal clear air make St. Corona at the change to a popular vacation resort and a well-known destination for excursions. People find peace and relaxation in our community. The Kampstein- and Wechsel area is a well known and beautiful hiking area.
