More of the colorful cornflowers that my 10-year old son grew from seed. I love the wild and rustic look they have in the old metal water tub.

Like the forests from which they come, the Pine Warbler lacks some of the luster and panache of its more flamboyantly adorned cousins. It is, however, a bird onto its own. The pine warbler is the only warbler that eats large quantities of seeds. At a result, it can sometimes be seen at feeders, while other warblers won’t be. While other warblers generally leave the US for winter, the pine warbler migrates to southern states, where it sometimes forms large flocks. It is also one of the first to make the return trip northward in spring. It is a bird of rustic beauty much like the barrens from which they originate. #PineWarbler

With no prospect of the rain abating and the light level as dull as dishwater it is time to call it a day on the Moldovita line, having almost reached the end of the line at this point. In rustic surroundings along the one small stretch of line that isn't roadside running, Reghin 0-8-0 tank 764-404R makes the steep ascent away from the Moldovita river bridge on Monday 3rd October 2016.

I've been reading Finnish 18th and 19th century history a lot lately and I love those old log mansions, which we're still having plenty in Finland.

When I think of #Rustic, I think of the country, southern, rural. Since I live in South Georgia much of what I see I would consider #Rustic. However, I spotted this rooster on a drive today and thought, yep that sums it up. It has the southern feel with the greenery, it has the farm fence and an old rusty rooster. This is it!

I've been holding on to this photo for a while. I took it last August. The reason I was waiting was because I thought I had a photo of my nephew standing under it from 2009. I can't seem to find it. He probably has it. The resort was more of a campground, right on the river. When he was visiting and wanted to camp in our motorhome, we choose this place for the fishing and close location to my home. There was a fire here. I can't remember the date, and can't seem to find anything on it now, maybe June 2010. I'd really like to own this sign. I'll probably reshoot it with my 6D, so I can get a good print.
The sign still has it's manufacturer's name on it. Excellite Neon Excellart Advertising Co. Volts 120 V.A. I have a photo of the company plate, if you'd like to see it let me know.
