I noticed a pool of water inside my van after driving in the rain where the car seats hook into the floor. Looking underneath I could find no problem. Thinking it was a floor panel leaking. Though no more about it till It happened again and I wasn't driving this time. I hadn't notice the rust forming on the roof. Ah Ha!. The car is mechanically sound and paid for since it is a 1996 model. No warrentees. ACK! Since it is on the roof I just might attempt a repair. Don't laugh! LOL
in and around the ground of kirklinton hall, an empty husk of a stately home from the 1600's. a great location and I was privileged to meet the current ownner who plans to restore it to its former glory.
I hope these four look thematically good together and work as a teaser for the shots of the hall to follow.
these old frames have above-BB-shell cable guides. While they look cool, they are hard to clean. I also don't think the previous powdercoater did a good job cleaning around it so the paint looked uneven.

I tested the rust antiquing set on different brands of clay to see if any particular brand worked best. I didn't see any significant difference. Here are the results, from photo top to bottom (left column used 1 coat of metallic paint; right column used 2 coats)
Premo (black)
UL Sculpey (white)
Fimo Soft (blue)
Kato (black)
Studio by Sculpey (green)
As you can see, it didn't really matter what color clay I used. (At least until I sanded off the finish -- see that here.)

ODC - RUST - 30th September - 5th October 2024 - Found this by the trolley tracks and not sure what is, but sure is rusty!
This week I want to try some photographs in styles a bit out of my norm. No explanations; just imagery.
I didnt know which way I liked this picture better so I added both. I like the repetition in this one :)
