Rusted Gate Handle. I thought the rust colors with the shadows of the metal were so interesting. Asolo, Italy. Color photography by Donna Corless.
I stopped in the fens to take some pictures from a bridge, looked down and saw this old car wreck below the water. Someone who ignored the signs?
I carried my camera on a New Years afternoon walk in Piketon, Ohio and pointed it at some closeups that interested me. I keep discovering new subjects even as I begin my sixth year of walking this village.
I love this sculpture by Cica Ghost..the texture is amazing too!

I saw the rusting vehicle while driving a Scioto County, Ohio road. It appears to be a General Motors car of 1950's vintage, but I don't recognize which make. I trust an expert will make an ID.
I feel like the dream is still there, but it's not so shiny and obtainable anymore. I don't know if this is part of growing older or if this is just stress of all the b/s that happens in a life coming together to fuck with me.
Still a neat picture, though.
The cabin of this flatbed truck has been exposed to the elements for probably half a century, or more. It has now taken on a deep rust-coloured sheen, with most of the original paint now long gone. I'm guessing that it was originally made sometime between 1930 – '50. This is one of the pieces of farming machinery left at the former Ravensborne Railway Station in Western Australia. The station was closed in 1925.
There are three images of this truck in my photostream.
